I love all musical instruments, and love them with all my heart. But nothing falls on my ears, my spirit like a 12 string acoustic guitar. There's just not comparison---for me. My beloved clearly feels the same way about the piano.
If you like a good 12-string, boy did I see an instrument at the NYC Met. This was the TurDuckEn of stringed instruments from the early 1400s. It had 3 necks and sort of 2-3 bodies on the other end. One neck had 14 strings (7 courses of 2), one had 6 strings, and the third had 8 (4 courses of 2). It had just been restored which took the museum staff three years. I asked if anyone ever got to play it. "Eric Clapton has come to play it a couple of times. Tuned them to C, E, and G. The original straps were shot so we made them from distressed leather. He suggested some alterations that worked nicely." Well, I figured if they could trust anyone with this Renaissance gem it would be Clapton. Well trust and a $5 Million deposit. Nobody's perfect.😮
Bugger me, Where is I'll Never Find Another You, World Of Our Own, Georgy Girl, Tangerine, Over The Hills, Thank You, Gallows Pole, Because I Love You, Travelling Riverside Blues? Think you need to do another!
SRV was on one of MTV's first "Unplugged" episodes in the 80s. He played just three songs -- including "Pride and Joy" -- all acoustic, all 12-string. Joe Satriano followed but looked like he was walking to his own musical hanging. He was :-) Remember the record album "The Sky is Crying" that brother Jimmy produced after his untimely death? He also played a mean 12-banger on "Life by the Drop." Jimi Hendrix could also play a mean acoustic 12-string. Folks hide small children and critters when my 12-string comes out. 😂 These are on UA-cam. Treat YoSeff. 🎶😎

I love the fullness and shimmering sound of the 12-string. Dust In The Wind sounded particularly nice.

Two Queen songs are missing here :
Love of my life (the live version with the 12 strings) and '39
Nice, I needed that to get mine off hanging on the wall.
Good it helps keeping the motivation
Don't forget "Into the Coven by Mercyful Fate"
(Which you did a nice cover of, btw 😉)
Thanks for the comment! Cheers
La guitare à douze cordes est intéressante.
Un bel instrument oui.
What was that bit you played before knocking on heavens door, it’s not on the album?
An arrangement of the live version of the song
It's original by Alice Cooper titled "only women bleed"
Très joli, tu aurais pu jouer '39 de Queen également ou love of my life
Merci beaucoup ! ‘39 est présente sur la vidéo « 101 Strumming Songs » à bientôt 👋
@@GuillaumeVrac Love of my life de Queen, la version live avec la guitare 12 cordes est très intéressante à jouer.
Do you provide the Tab for this anywhere. It would be an awesome training tool. If anyone knows, please post where to find it!
Quel est le model de cette Taylor !!!
What model of Taylor is that?
Fantastic but no Byrds
Funny....no early Genesis, but all I can hear is early Genesis
Yes, maybe later
@@GuillaumeVracgreat... if you can work out some of Rutherfords tunings. Mike admits he cant remember them
