For anyone interested I believe the letters at 6:29 are "よくがんばりました" which translates to "well done"
Google says "I did my best" for the Kanji...
I have the impression it's in a weird mix of kana, where yoku and shi are Hiragana and the rest is Katakana. But I agree it says yoku GANBARIMAshiTA.
@@caseyomah Japanese does not inflect verbs for person, so that could mean "I did my best", "you did your best", etc. In this case, I'd go with "you did your best". Which is pretty much "well done".
@@caseyomah Machine translations are not always accurate, especially when lacking context like in this case.
It's meant as a message from the creator to the player so it wouldn't make sense to use the first person I (in japanese the subject is often ambiguous and inferred by context).
As for the "did my best" part again context is important,がんばる roughly means "to put effort" or "to try" something and is used in the past form so the literal translation would be something like "you did well in putting effort" which no english speaker would ever say, "well done" conveys the same message while still sounding natural.
One last thing,those are not kanjis,those are kanas, written with kanji the message would be 良く頑張りました but you'll never see something like that written inside a MM level due to resolution limitations
@@mickgorro Yes,I wrote everything in hiragana I honestly forgot some characters were in katakana (I did the translation while watching the video and commented at the end).
As for the translation I went with "well done" specifically because I felt like the nuance of "you did your best" is different (something you'd say after failing,not on the way to the goal)

I remember one level long ago that was a SMB level that had a password at the very end after counting random coins strewn all around a dark room with Bowser shooting at you and to get the flag you had to break blocks while riding a Lakitu cloud before a P-switch timer expired. Remember that one? You had to take pictures of the Bowser coin room with your Ipad. That was hot garbage too.
I think that impassable level being skipped is like skipping one of the 3 ghosts of Christmas for Dickens.
Hey Ryu for the level of around 11:30 there is a "tool" which you can use to defeat them. Dgr recently made a video about it and it let's you see inside the levels, basically

Hey Ryu, if you're not yet aware, DGR found a really great solution for trash levels like that last one. Obviously, it wasn't needed for this particular level, but something to keep in mind for future trash.

12:00 I think it's more of a "Why would Nintendo allow this in MM" Creators are just taking advantage of a dumb thing that got by Nintendo when they released it, you shouldn't be able to make a level a clear condition of "Collect X" and be able to hide "X" in an invisible block, the longest uncleared levels are ones with that as the CC.
Also if you figure that spring drop out you should upload a short or something clearing it, I'm curious to see if it's possible. :-)

I'd try to see if there's any way you can juggle an extra shell all the way to the end and use it to do an extra shell jump to get up the wall at the end. Although I'm not sure if that's even possible. You probably can't use the "cheese" if this is the case.

aaa level there is 2 possibilities, you either should be kicking the shell from befind the one way or you were supposed to headbutt the spring and do a airshelljump out of it both ways without loosing speed obviously
