Don't be so hard on yourself. I think you have done a great job making these videos. I would never be able to create content like you have. Really like the map puzzles. As far as the British Empire map goes, If you like the image don't worry about politics. In doing jigsaw puzzles, I think it's all about the image and the enjoyment of putting it together. It would look great hanging on a wall. It looks like you live in a beautiful area. I miss living near water. The Amsterdam puzzle is really nice. I have a puzzle of an Amsterdam canal on my wall. That's a great collection of Holdson puzzles. The Milton Bradley nautical puzzle is great. Thank you.
Hi again! Wow thanks mate i really appreciate the feedback, it makes my day to hear that not only the videos are fun to watch but also bring up the best puzzler in you and that is priceless!! Haha yeah i am still learning how to make talking-head videos, and as i dont create scripts it comes with a few hiccups 😂 but i will take it easy que sera sera! I do live in a beautiful place, if you like, google devonport in New Zealand or watch my vlog 1 on the @ricardorides channel. i ride a motorcycle to that very place you saw on the puzzle and i do a full tour of it. The views are breathtaking! Glad you like the holdson puzzles, they are so unique eh. Funny enough i have about 30 or so more holdsons that didn’t make it to the video as this series is getting very long already! And i havent even got the waddingtons on camera yet! (35+) thank you so much! Part 3 is coming in the next day or so, stay tuned! It has some incredible titles and some more questionable unbranded puzzles too 😂😂
Regarding the British Empire Puzzle, I feel you should do it without apprehension. We should not bury history no matter the negative aspects. It's much worse when attitudes are taken as though it never happened. Question: Have you ever come across a Tuco Deluxe Picture Puzzle? I found The House of Seven Gables at a thift store. It's a very different puzzle.
Ah thanks mate for the honest opinion! Definitely something to think about indeed. I just don’t want to feel like im celebrating the british colonial history in any way but you raised great point to consider! Nope i havent seen the puzzle! Will need to check it out!
I love the "Swell Sailing" puzzle. If that is your "neck of the woods", then you live in a beautiful location. I can appreciate that some people enjoy competing in speed puzzling. I actually enjoy seeing others who love puzzles having a good time doing this. However, it is not for me. Assembling a puzzle transports me to a calm, meditative state where I am super-focused and the everyday cares drop away. Why would I want to hurry through this pleasurable experience?

Interesting collection, i see that you are very eclectic with your puzzles, i watched the 36 minutes of your video because when you show so many puzzles in details like this, it’s impossible not to enjoy every minute, i also like that you don’t seem to be reading a script . I recognise a few puzzles here and i have the same MB puzzle called Bigben, with a castle on the hill- never assembled it though, but now after watching your video i might get that excuse to do it. Hello there! Haha yep it’s a spider indeed, well spotted! But i dont think it’s dead though seems alive 😂 ohh thats a good question, im not a huge fan of flowers sadly. @@RicPuzzles Hello again! :) Well, which woman doesn’t like flowers :D But indeed as a motive on a puzzle they‘re not my cup of tea. I guess I‘m easily infected with your enthusiasm. :)
Indeed…same here. I dont mind dealing with flowers but i would rather be dealing with cactus. I have 4 atm. Let 2 die sadly, that are the highlight of the rooms 😁or a more manly kind of plant. It’s probably a social construct too but yeah im not a huge fan of puzzles with flowers 🤭

High, the more you delve into the history of what the British Empire actually achieved and indeed gave the world, the end of the slave trade, Parliamentary democracy, rule of law, and many, many other aspects of everyday life, particularly in the Anglo world then the less you may feel shamed by it. Also I just ordered another 1000 piece puzzle of Dungeons and Dragons type with a Beholder on the puzzle. It'll really awesome, but does have a relatively dark scene, so they're many dark pieces.
Hi Gossman75! Thats really nice to hear! Some puzzles are indeed worth not only gluing but also framing! I bet the D&D puzzle must be quite a challenge but will pay off im sure! If you have any doubt let me know i can suggest a few tricks with dark pieces. So cool to have your thoughts on the puzzles btw, always very much appreciated 👍🏻😁
I thoroughly enjoy your collections. wonder what else you got hiding there for us!?
hey mate, so col thank you very much fr enjoying my puzzles!!!! well it's a surprise! stay tuned!
I don’t blame you for making mistakes and i see you are trying to be spontaneous but maybe a little more preparation with the info details would turn you into a super youtuber. I’m glad to be here to see that happen!
hello there! first of all thank you for watching the entire video, omg! you are champion! thank you! so you have the Bigben too? how cool is that eh!!! you should definitely solve it and show us! I'm keen to see it done! yep, I agree with you, I am trying to be very spontaneous but need to work on the ins a lot more. I know now that puzzlers do pay a lot of attention to what information comes with the puzzles. I'm learning from my mistakes! thanks again and see u in part 3!!!!!
Great video. Do you ever frame them?? So many beautiful vintage puzzles.
Hello mate! Wow so sorry i keep finding new comments hidden away! Good old yt! I actually think a lot about framing some of them but i have so little space in my walls, but the desire is definitely there!
Is there a dead spider on the puzzle box of the cottage puzzle at 28:34? 😅
Very lovely puzzles by the way. But one question bothers me … Why don‘t you like too much flowers in a puzzle? :D Too girly? And do you only dislike them on puzzles or in reality too? :D
Hello there! Haha yep it’s a spider indeed, well spotted! But i dont think it’s dead though seems alive 😂 ohh thats a good question, im not a huge fan of flowers sadly. I mean beautiful and all but yeah i think it’s a bit outside my interests, the only planta i have are cactus and they are incredible! I have 6 atm and they look like aliens 👽 not plants 😂 how about yourself? Big flower fan? Cheers!
@@RicPuzzles Hello again! :) Well, which woman doesn’t like flowers :D But indeed as a motive on a puzzle they‘re not my cup of tea. At the moment I prefer illustrated puzzles (especially the vintage ones) over puzzles of photographies, but the more I watch your videos the more I get interested in these kind of vintage photography puzzles.
I say do the puzzle you don't enjoy and then make art you love!!
hahaha, exactly! thanks Stacy!!! and again so sorry for not replying before. some comments get buried away deep on YT settings, dont know why it does that!
@@RicPuzzles no worries!! I know YT can be bonkers!
:-) Thanks Stacy! hope to see you around sometime again! been so long. and im still finding lost comments and replies here hehe, bloody YT system! hehe
@@RicPuzzles YT does that a TON to me also and it also holds normal comments as "might be naughty" lolol
@@stacyssassystyles i think i kinda found something, finally! This may help you as well? In the youtube studio i need to click on comments, filters then select replies with replies, only then it will show me who left a comment on previous replies. Even including notifications on for everything wont let you know someone replied to a previous reply. Go figure!
High, the more you delve into the history of what the British Empire actually achieved and indeed gave the world, the end of the slave trade, Parliamentary democracy, rule of law, and many, many other aspects of everyday life, particularly in the Anglo world then the less you may feel shamed by it. Just consider what the world would be like if a different power had the global control during this period? Go ahead and do the puzzle, treat it as an historic document not a political statement and just enjoy it for what it is...a jigsaw puzzle! one
Wow thank you so much for the feedback! You got a few very important points to consider!
you have cool puzzles Ric! 🧩🧩🧩 i especially like the MB puzzles because they are a good brand and i am interested in the brands not sold over here.
