I get needle stick injurys often at work, I find on a weekly basis 25 used syringes outside the needle exchange center and i have to search or them. Sometimes there are bags full of them but some of these are not capped. Some of these are loaded with fluids and drawn blood. I work for a local authority we don't do risk assessments RIDDOR or log incidents as it looks bad or the town..so i have to keep quiet or find another job as i have been told it's easier to replace me. After 5 years you get used to it... only on this because because yesterday got stuck with one in my wrist bled for 10 mins.
