St George's, Television studios and production services has been established since the early 80s. Production covers a very broad spectrum that includes day to day patient recordings through to teaching materials and live fibre optic transmissions of surgical procedures. Many of our films have won awards globally and we continue to develop productions marketable to this worldwide audience whilst maintaining a high profile support service for both St George's University of London and St George's NHS Foundation Trust.

Deqa Ali Pre Clinical And Clinial Research Into MNGIE
in2scienceUK is an award winning charity which empowers students from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their potential and progress to STEM and research careers through high quality work placements and careers guidance. Since 2011 in2science has placed over 800 students in placements in Cambridge, Oxford and London Universities.
In August 2018, St. George's, University of London hosted their first student, Deqa Ali though this initiative. Deqa's placement was with Dr Bridget Bax and Dr Dario Pacitti who introduced her to the ultra rare disease, MNGIE, and provided her with laboratory experience in the production of an iPSC model they are developing for the study this disorder. The team were very fortunate to have the expertise of Adam Winker from Digital Services who captured Deqa's progress throughout her week 's placement. The video produced won the overall in2scienceUK video award for 2018.

I get needle stick injurys often at work, I find on a weekly basis 25 used syringes outside the needle exchange center and i have to search or them. Sometimes there are bags full of them but some of these are not capped. Some of these are loaded with fluids and drawn blood. I work for a local authority we don't do risk assessments RIDDOR or log incidents as it looks bad or the town..so i have to keep quiet or find another job as i have been told it's easier to replace me. After 5 years you get used to it... only on this because because yesterday got stuck with one in my wrist bled for 10 mins.
