- What is invocation used for, and what is evocation used for? Let's hope this video makes it clearer. For those doing the work in the Kabbalah Magic book, you might notice how the daily work gently and gradually introduces you to how these things actually work.

This video is SO clarifying, wow. I am coming from layman zen Buddhist background, though been reading about and trying to practice western occultism for about 4 years. The hang ups on what i couldn't see as anything but egoistic and recklessly dualistic models and practices have been holding back my ability to really ... enact? any magical progress, but this is like a really big "a-ha" moment in my understanding of what we're trying to tap into...
I've just started your book but was driven to pit it down and look you up because i was kind of astounded really at how impactful your points and language are.
Honestly i didnt know if you were some guy who died 80 years ago or contemporary so this is all really exciting haha.

Oh and I can't answer your question at the end of the video re: spirits as I have no experience in physical matter reality with spirits even after 4 years of LBRP and LIRP, yet everything I see here is constructed from my mind in the manner with which you just described, and in the end "in here" and "out there" are mutually co-arising so if a spirit is in one it's in the other in some effect anyhow, right?
Thanks for the comments, Danimal. You might notice in a previous video that I mention how Western occultism has become "debased." It's basically systems of enlightenment techniques that have been leaked out to the uninitiated and turned into something else. The misuse of these systems is, of course, the real reason behind oaths of secrecy. It's also the truth behind the legends of the ancients being far more "powerful" than we are today. Perhaps you can join in the effort of restoring occultism to its original forms.
Yes, and most of the "issues" and "preoccupations" that hound us and pester us, demanding that we make sense of them, are shared between us all. My issues and preoccupations are simply versions of the same phenomena that haunt everyone. And to call them "issues," "preoccupations," "obsessions," "phenomena," and "complexes" is fine, but it does tend to objectify living entities of the collective psyche, beings who might not like being treated in that manner...
Just realised whilst watching that the higher up the tree of life we ascend the less of a physical back we perceive. Of course we experience it in a physical sense, but it is as though its depth is experienced so deeply that it’s as though all behind us, inside us & around us is infinitely extended. Our sphere of self becomes universal yet it condenses into us as we also extend from it. You expressed “you’re not” when speaking of our greatness in comparison to great universal forces with such gravitas that it knocked me for six. Looking forward to exploring the trail of realisations that this is all going to unfold. Thank you.
It’s to your credit that you can even understand what I’m saying. The thing that we tend to cling to and to identify with-the “I”-is not a god. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t already divine. You might say that all we have to do is shift the identity-the “I”-away from anything that has a backside. 😉 This all sounds like nonsense, of course, unless you’re ready to fall in and disappear.

Thank you for touching on this vast subject. I have been reevaluating my spiritual experiences through an updated and evolved lens. For many years I assumed that perhaps there was just something wrong with me and that the things ive seen were just manifestations of a mental illness. Finally, after 20+ years of searching, the answers seem to just appear. Veils lift and the experiences of folks such as yourself have helped me to understand generally that im among others.
Its very simple to me the no back concept because i saw it and i was in a horn torus. Which is what i was writing before it showed in the video to my surprise. Except im not a body im a singularity in the middle. One time i fell out for 12 hours and needed repair and these little alien ball elves that had torus inside of them put me back in the middle of the torus shaft but it took them a long time 😪
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos and explain these things. These concepts are difficult to grasp, but you do an amazing job. I'm sure that when I come back to watch again in the future, there will be even more depth of understanding.

The only answer that I can come to is it's both. As I was thinking about this the words 'so with in, so with out, so without so with in was ringing in my head like a bell. So that's my answer.
About the Spirit with no back, if she emerges from the universe where would you find her back since the universe exists in the All and the All has no back, how could she have a back?
I'm grateful for the explaination of enocian magic. Over the years I have come across it but there was always a sense that it was something that it would be foolish on my part to explore because of my lack of training and education. To go there unprepared would be like trying to climb a mountian in shorts, a tee-shirt and sandals and have no provisions to boot.

"Care of the Soul," by Thomas Moore, is a good read. In fact, I would venture to say a must-read. I visited it years ago. I guess this is my que to pick it up again and return to the pages with a more mature perspective.
You might try one of Hillman’s books. *Revisioning Psychology* is really good.
I’m 9 minutes in, I still have a lot to listen to. But the first thought in my head is “it’s as all as real as you are”. Kinda pushes it back onto the subjective viewer/reader, but it also feels like it’s an obvious objective stand point. Almost could start a religion talking like that. Haha
Anyways, I have to listen to everything, absolutely love your videos and I’m just about ready to move on past the first grade, thank you for all your work!

So I guess it’s hard to see by these examples how something is actually outside the self. Thanks for your explanation of Enochian magick. I wonder if someone can evoke something in another human, as believe that had an encounter with something I thought to be an entity outside myself, but saw it expressed in a partner of mine on one occasion, something calling itself a demon. Now I believe was something within myself. Anyways,makes some sense to me. Grateful for you teaching and blessings to you.

How would you define the collective unconscious?
So my understanding of what the collective unconscious might be is something I can’t give an actual word definition but feel can understand in comparison to water. Since water is something we can observe as a cycle and in many forms, all having the essence of water. As example, as water is evaporated into the atmosphere and then condensed into rain. Maybe the individual rain drop has within it not only its own history but a connection to all water via its unique frequency or essence. So simply, I might define it as human essence.@@lyamchristopher2393
Interesting, I’ve watched a few times now. I experience the god form from the front, this helps me to add more visuals to that sense. My question is when doing the LRP is a evoking and not an invoking and by saying within me shines the six ray star is an invoking, is this correct?
Yes, the seven planets are god-personas that you are seeking manifestation in your personality. Placing the hexagram within the circle sets the stage for that kind of invocation. In the elemental grades, plus portal, you will eventually invoke all seven of them.
Gods can also manifest from the inside out. And from the outside in.

I gotta call you out on that one at 30:32 Daemons have claws because they're associated with eveloutionary trama? Weird, I thought daemons or gods of old religions where demonized by Christianity and turned into these images. The grimories from people who invoke and evoke certainly don't described them that way. Seems to be conflicting information from those who practice demonology and those who speculate from the other side.
Quite to the contrary. The actual experience of magic churns up monsters. In fact, all spirits are manifestations of trauma (though I'm certain that the word "trauma" can become tiresome quickly). Even when they are angels, they tend to appear as saving graces and rescuing influences, which are also associated with unpleasant scenarios. In addition to fear, spirits can represent scenarios of desire, so they assume not only forms of things that frighten us but also the things we crave.
On a deeper level, they help us, but it takes deep understanding to see them as such. It is no wonder that they are easily dismissed, all, as simply evil.
And this does not mean that they are simply psychological complexes. It is a mistake to psychologize all over them. Better it would be to view them psychologically when doing so is useful.

How is that possible?
Is it all in the mind or out there somewhere? Seems the answer must be both or magick could not exist as a practice. All must be in and in must be in all, alter one the other changes accordingly for divine balance. Nature does not abide a vacuum forever. Am I close to the mark or mistaken? May I ask your opinion on the Schueler books on Enochian magic?
He’s not an initiate, but the books are still a good reference for someone who has good inner contacts via a Golden System of Kabbalah. My teacher told me that he was basically commissioned to write his books to fill a market need.
@@lyamchristopher2393 So the translation is that they were written for someone who had studied & practiced something like Modern Magick? It's interesting because I noticed that both Modern Magick & Enochian Magic a practical manual were both first published in 1988. Kraig's being published in January & the Schueler's book being toward the end of the year.
Not even that. Don Kraig was a student of Ra Horakhty Temple (for a short time). I consider him an initiate--at least enough to "get his foot in the door."
Schueller does a good job of accurately compiling the system of aethyrs, calls, and terrestrial tablets--but his interpretation of actual magic is clunky, New-Agey, and "external." He writes all over the outsides of the book, as it were. @@realherbalism1017

I would say that evocation is both subjective & objective simultaneously. What it seems like you are saying is that since we are a part of the "field" (God) around us, & since we are merely a locus of consciousness in this field ( the eyes & ears of God?), then an evoked spirit would be simultaneously inside our minds & outside in the objective reality. Well, objective from the sense that we perceive it as something "other" than us. It's not though, it's that our limited perspective doesn't easily allow us to notice it. Is that pretty close?
