Getting close to jumping on this idea. Pretty soon we'll all be calling in while camping!

Getting the heck out of my spare bedroom office has made one of the biggest differences in my happiness. The return for every dollar I invested has been paid back in life satisfaction 10 fold. Starlink Mini arrives tomorrow and shortly after that I will be heading out to test things out with having a cell and satellite system. I can not wait to no longer be tied 100% to cell signal working from the road and have the freedom to really get way out there into the wild.

This is awesome. Have been doing this for the last couple years. Starlink has been a game changer.

My Starlink mini just got delivered yesterday! Testing different power methods and wiring up to my aux battery all day today. I can’t wait to not be tethered to only cell anymore! Wyoming, Montana and beyond here I come!

Sorry, I totally forgot to even mention the blog article that does a bit more in-depth for the topic. I will be making a working from the trail series and be sure to link it into all the following vids. For now you can goto overland calling.com and find it in the blog section.

What about someone who is afraid of being attacked by a bear or a tiger?😬

What can he carry with him?

I also worry about bears. For that I carry bear mace to hopefully make them want to leave and I have an airtight trash bucket called a "Little Vault" to try not and attract them. I also always keep my clean from any leftover food/dishes. After years of car camping recently and 5 years of backpacking I have never had one bother me at camp. Having a roof top tent also helps with feeling safer. My biggest fear is actually snakes and I have had some issues with them at camp. That is one of the main reasons that I love having a totally enclosed room for my awning.

dang autocorrect!!! the trash bucket is called "Vittle Vault". It is made for storing pet food, but works great as a sealable trash can. Plus it is affordable!

Great idea, I will implement it
      Actually, snakes scare me too
But there is a local study in my country that says that 80% of snake bites occur in the foot area, so I wear anti-bite shoes that are long and reach the middle of my leg. and I avoid putting my hand under or next to anything that is not exposed, such as a stone or a wood, for example

@@oldstory-sz4qc great advice on footwear! I may have to dig out my old hiking boots. I was camping in Florida last winter and had a snake go right by my feet one night. Pretty much lived in the awning room at night after that lol.
