    It's not about the fish numbers...totally agree.
    That's why the call it fishing and not catching.

    Great video as always. I've never seen someone get stripers on a fly, so that was neat. Looked like a blast.

    Great fishing
    I will have to try that myself.
    Don't have a boat but looks like fishing from the shore will work too.

    Love the great production quality, also when you deal with bait the lobsters and crabs get it first 90% of the time lol

    That was good stuff Boys, and right next door .. I'm in NB and usually fish for stripers in Miramichi with the fly rod as well. The water looked like the chocolate river, and I was a bit surprise that they could see the flies. Nice strong fish

    • @finsntalesfilms
      @finsntalesfilms  5 місяців тому

      Yes the water is definitely muddy!!! But they still find the flies some how haha

      There’s a few rivers around the Hants/Colchester area but I could see there lots of rivers on the bay of fundy holding stripers. We catch them accidentally a lot in June when fishing for trout. just make sure you read the regulations cuz they are different in rivers compared to tidal waters

  • @rickdevine4150
    @rickdevine4150 Рік тому +2

    Nice job ! How did you rig your leader ? What pound test ? Big tides in those rivers half tide rising the best time ? Enjoyed it thanks

    • @finsntalesfilms
      @finsntalesfilms  Рік тому +1

      20lb straight leader, we went with tide at flood and came out low tide, I’m not an expert so I can’t really say what time was best, but i think people say they move up with the tide so probably flood/slack tide?

    If you could live on a river within hour, hour and a half from Halifax area..wich rivers would you pick?

    • @finsntalesfilms
      @finsntalesfilms  9 місяців тому +2

      Gee that’s a tough one!! I guess it depends on what kind of fishing you want to do most… honestly for me I’d try to live near one of the rivers closer to newglascow/antigonish area if I could choose!

      Gulf of St Lawerence and Bat of Fundy have different numbers. Gulf fish must fit a slot size of 50-65cm and I believe Fundy fish must be 65+.

    Great video. I subscribed and liked. I was using a whole mackerel this one day when I was after a 40 plus inch striper but I hooked a great white shark instead while fishing fom my kayak in the Bay of Fundy. Part of my video was used on the Discovery Channel episode called The Great White North. Toss me a subscription too, if you like, I only need a couple more to get 1000 :) Cheers
