This show is utterly hysterical, and I'm glad you're enjoying it, or at least not suffering while watching it. But this show is also good interpersonal drama AND fun/tense action. And MAN did I forget this episode's hilarity. Kaname and Sosuke are the perfect anime pair. A woman who beats up the guy for being a hardheaded idiot about love, and a hardheaded idiot about love who can take a beating.
Pretty much this. The different dubbing studios and licensing conpanies had differwnt attitudes to japanese pronounciation, or were sometimes just incompetent. I've seen Deus pronounced "Deuce" through a whole series.
@@chrisw207"Megadeus" pronounced "Mega Dey-us" only sounds good in Japanese. "Megadeuce" sounds better in English. Also the U is often silent in Japanese, especially if it's an "su" part of a word.
The Japanese sometimes like to do silent U's. Good for loan words, but very confusing (and annoying) for names that are intended to be Japanese, like Sasuke or Amaterasu. To quote Linkara, "You bought a vowel and didn't know what to do with it!"

Yeah, that 'tsu' has an almost-not-spoken vowel. 'Mitts-key' is far, far closer than 'Mitt-soo-key.'
