I'm egyptian and want to say, Our whole history isn't just pyramids and pharaohs, we are very dislinked from that these days it was a very long time ago, while we do feel proud to be their descendants I honestly feel like people don't talk about egypt's arab history as much, The ayyubids, The mamluks, The abbassids, The islamic golden age was just as awesome or even more awesome and technologically advanced and filled with knowledge than the pharaonic ages
