is there a practical need for slide vaulting? like if im being chased and i didnt make it on a normal vault but if i slide vaulted i would have made it

yes i had acquaintances that got it on their first tries, but to become consistent, you have to practice so it becomes natural, just like you normally vaulting
no, they're not gone! it's always going to be in the game if vaults linger while holding shift. if you start walking while doing what i told you, it's because you did it early. try to let go for a little longer, until you catch it. (it's a very frequent issue just like you doing it late and not vaulting at all because you might be afraid of you not vaulting ^^) i'm glad you asked though! in the video, at 1:35-2:00 (around there), it explains what's going on. keep an eye on that.

yeah! it will never get patched. how it works is like this: 1) hold shift to run. 2) W to run forward. 3) stand still for a bit once you get the vault prompt enough for your character to almost look still, then press space. it will take you few tries to get it. but its very difficult to consistently get it without practice.
yeah. definitely. just make sure that you're holding the prompt that allows you to run which acts like a shift button. for you it might be something else since i am not sure if you're pc.
@@6Kharmathere is no difference in speed. Just style points. A lot of the time killers will leave you if they see you doing it because it affirms skill to pull it in chase.
did they patch this? because when I do it my character gets stuck in normal walking animation instead of no animation edit :nvm I just did it after a millions try

I'm still not sure i understand the utility of a slide vault outside of just showing off. To me, it just telegraphs your moves even harder

walking while vaulting instead of sliding/standing still means you have to wait a little more before pressing space

make sure to hold shift by the way even if you let go of W for a bit, it is very important for the prompt to linger.
