    We could see the manly ferries dip below the waves as they passed by the north and south heads . I lived at the army married quarters at George's heights mosman. What a wonderful view from our home. Great memories. Thanks for sharing. God Bless

    The Sydney Queen / Showboat was converted from the car ferry preceding the Harbour Bridge.

    the 2 trawlers at 1:04 are the MATONG and MULLOKA, former WW2 minesweepers built for new zealand, matong was waiho, Mulloka was waipu.

    0:04 Manly ferry "Belluberra", built 1910, major refit 1935, major fire and subsequent rebuild 1936, retired 1970, scuttled 1980.

    0:23 Manly ferry "Baragoola". built 1922, retired 1980, preserved at Balls Head, Sydney.
    0:31 former Manly ferry "Curl Curl" at Strides Shipbreakers, Glebe Point, built 1928, retired 1960, scuttled 1969.
    0:44 Manly ferry "Dee Why" at Balmain, sister to "Curl Curl", built 1928, retired 1968, scuttled 1974.
    0:48 "Sydney Queen", built 1926 as pre-Sydney Harbour Bridge car ferry "Kalang". Beached at Trial Bay 1972.
