To compare India with China is an insult... China is on another level by its own , which no other country can compare with.. India is unfortunately comparerable to Zimbabwe..Philippines.... Nigeria ...
People often think that China's success in the past 40 years is simply because of the cheap labour. Then they will imagine India can do that too. That is a big fundamental mistake. China's success is much more complicated and particularly the government guidance and effective execution of clear visionary plans were very important. Not just once or twice but repetitively over a few decades.
Yes, it is all about careful planning, execution plus lot of hard works and sacrifices. Definitely not a miracle like the West or MSM like to emphasize. The funny thing is Indians believe it, so they just waited for this miracle to fall from the sky day after day, years after years......LOL
Unlike China, india never had a regular 5 year plan and sticking to it come rain or shine. Like the proverbial snake indians tend to bend and twist when the situation does not favour them or become negative. There's no preservance in the indian mindset.
Guys, I am Chinese. Let us not disrespect Indian people, many of whom are hard-working and intelligent people. Their government is what is holding them back big time. We are all humans, let us not sow division amongst each other. And also realise that the success of one (China) does not mean the failure of another (India, or US for that matter). As the Chinese always say, a win-win situation is the goal. Unlike in the west where you need to degrade/conquer/colonise another in order to succeed, which is a really foolhardy zero-sum mentality that comes from a scarcity mindset.
This dude is realistic and is focus on truth and facts, not delusional self interest, but doing his job for real. India's problem is laziness and scam culture.
In any working environment the indian mindeset is to do the minimum effort to obtain the agreed remuneration. Its all in the indian mind....sloth and laziness becomes a perpetual circle and its infectious.
I was in New Delhi for exhibition at the Exhibition Centre Pragati Madan before Covid-19. An Indian that I have met in one of the Indian exhibition booths and he told me this when we were discussing and comparing Indian and Chinese products. I was surprised what he told me. He said "The Chinese they are learning very fast from us Indian. In the next 20 years times they will sure be catching up with us" I just smiles and said of course, India is already a global superpower and China is still a developing country. He seems so happy with my replied to him. This Indian Jayant Bhandari will be hated by most of his own Indians if more Indians have watched this video discussions. Because most Indians hate to listen to such negative comments about India even if it is truth and logical. Indians love to listen to other praising them like calling India superpower, India is the greatest, India in 20 years ahead of China, lndia is world leader, etc.....
We should nevertheless admit that India is progressing steadily though at a slower pace. For example it has been able to land a rover on the south pole of the moon. India needs to be congratulated for this prowess.

India is at least 70 years behind China. I believe India will eventually catch up with China in terms of national strength, but China has already moved on to another level.

That's meant in 5 years time China will be 130 steps ahead of India. Because China is not going just to stand still or fall asleep.

PM Modi took office in 2014, just 2 years after President Xi. And except for the Ambanis and Adanis(nobody ever heard of him before 2014) the living standard of the people still remains the same if not worst. In fact the country has seen more divisions and crisis than ever before. Modi masters the art of delivering long speeches while Xi brought 600 million Chinese out of poverty.

No one deny India has potential, it has always been like that. But anyone who think India can replace China in the next few years, they must be dreaming. It took China about thirty to forty years to get to where it is now, and that is with the legendary China speed too. India is notoriously slow and full of red tapes, they even have the term for it, the Hindu growth rate. Those factories and infrastructures can't be built overnight.
I am humbled and shocked by so many Indian comments in this section! I see the potential of this nation: self-awareness is the first step to growth and development.
PM of India are just a puppet of the India corporate Elites few %, Corrupted Politicians getting hand outs to look the other way, in all aspects of human rights of women & children, antiquated beliefs & religions... Indian millionaires owning factories, hiring children for pennies, but thinks nothing of having luxury houses & lavish million on weddings of sons & daughters... no wonder Democracy is thriving in India..🤨
As a Chinese I would like to say: more than 50 years ago, we are in a level of development with India, there are many patriots gave up generous treatment to return to the country to build, "two bombs and one star" of the 23 meritorious, 21 elite are overseas Chinese, which shows the development of society needs patriots, the need for national identity, if some of our motherland is not doing well enough, do not forget their own roots and national dignity, if you forget your own people you will not be respected by Western society, just a tool, we should not blindly denigrate their own country and ethnicity, as a Chinese I hope that the Indians, the whole world can live a better, more dignified!
Indians are doing very good in US. Also in China, my Indian business friends are doing very good. We have Lots of cute Chinese girlfriends too 😊 India as a country is shit. But we Indians as people are capable of doing good in any environment, just like the overseas Chinese did. I have lots of business in Shenzhen and Shanghai and really like modern China 🇨🇳 My fav leader in the world is Deng X.
Yes, like he said it..."for many many reasons"...I agree. But to deliver my opinion to lay person clearly, let me put it this way. China is already like a skyscraper. To build one, you can't have plenty of JUST cement or gravel. You must have others too like water, iron bars, sand, energy in electrical equipments and humans, etc. India's manager who's trying to build this skyscraper, though that size is all about it. India population can match that of China, and others to him is just by reflecting on the patriotic memoir of India's past civilization. Whimsical mentality...I call it. Land size, natural resources and population doesn't guarantee that you can easily strive smooth sailing. Being leader, you are first to instill the right of everything into your people, your culture and your vision. People - poverty, low level of education and skill training, not harmoniously living in diversity, adopt the right culture and sincerity in attracting foreign cooperation with neighbors or others...that is what the leadership should rectify first for startup. And this is simply the reason that perpetuated into branching out of reasons that makes it difficult to elaborate/summarize why India can't come even close to what China achieved. Even some FarEast or Southeast Asian nations that had and could challenge India could never come close to challenge China although some might had or have real good leadership but failed to mold the people into the right mode of culture in living, working, thinking and behaving...Not even the American are safe now with the might of China, their only challenge by their leadership now is through falsifying the real existence of China as evil. You can stop evil but you can't stop the force of goodness like China...of now. But nevertheless if this force of goodness turns bad as happened to others before, it is stoppable....just like huge empires in history. You simply have to embrace learning more about China and not growing anxiety towards China. Chinese in just China...mark that...not outside of China. This is very enlightening for those having an open unbiased minds.
India is a state assembled from many smaller states/kingdoms by British colonial rule. India only became a state in 1947 after gaining independence from Britain in 1947.
@@bobsmith3983 On the contrary....India was a region with numerous Kingdoms albeit its diversity of existence were all harmoniously living next to each other in solidarity, commercially trading with the Chinese from the Far East and Arabs & Persians from the middle east. They could co-exist until the European started to explore the world in effort to circumvent the Ottomans monopoly in trade. The Ottomans never invaded or colonised Asia...but the imperial west did... especially the Brits, strategizing their divide and conquer formula, they installed animosities throughout Asia, not just India...their reputation of being the no 1 colonizers with the most land invaded is by no co-incident but by that golden rule. And with European plot of 3G, they although rival each other (Spanish, Dutch, French, etc) in establishing their East Indies companies divided Asia & Africa and also the Americas between themselves. That's how these animosities grew over the centuries, installing borders never existed before and "patriotism" to ensure the rest of the world is jungle that European could continue to be in control. It's a secret precision scheme stemmed from the crusade...to be exact, the Knights of the Templer. So, again...I say, the British didn't assembled India. It created India out of the region's divide and conquer. The word India was never there in the first place. Just like the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc. It's easy to understand the history they thought us in schools but it is not so for those of resilient minds, because living facts don't lie to them and they're quick to be triggered where some narratives goes against what is clear to them. British and the west didn't build or assemble and time by time the truth is coming boldly out especially in these times of advent communication.
He is telling the truth and he traveled the world and doing consultations work because of this he knew exactly what is happening to India compared to China. The truth is, the success of China in IT, 5G, Ai, jet engine and high speed rail just to name a few because they have so many scientists that work so hard to compete to the world especially U.S.
Brutally honest but true. Infrastructure in India is what defines a third world country. For context, the govt owned telecom BSNL is still relying on 3G network that too with a 2G speed most of the time. The govt from top to bottom is viciously corrupted.
To the Chinese, they dont mind that India like other Western world thinks China is still poor and weak. China's rise is good for China and Chinese to enjoy and prosper who cares if what others think of China as long as they don't make troubles for China and Chinese.

The dishonesty in India and intricate attrition in the work culture is actually a result of deep sitting distrust amongst the people. Cast is a main issue in my opinion.
China helped India established their first Rail University in 2014. India sent their rail way employees to training in China last 10 years. CRRC invested and cooperated with India companies manufacturing the trains. There are lot India metros and infrastructure projects are built by China made equipments, designed and technology. The heralded of both countries are the border dispute which planted by Britain colonists master in 1914. Now both countries suffered from the colonists heritage. Both countries kept peace thousand years until British colonial officers McMahon and Johnson drawn a illegal border lines between China and India in 1914. McMahon line and Johnson line are illegal based on international law.
Another factor ignored by the west is the Chinese government's focus on eradicating corruption. It is not just a punch line as there is strong enforcement for those guilty of corruption. That is something unfortunately very difficult for India to eradicate.
Harsh but truthful. I have work with Indian for so long, 15 years ago they have a good work ethic but now days they seems dont care any more, bad work ethic, bad attitude, bad planning, bad result, bullying, and over selling their own capabilities (note: i am Indonesian)

Chinese people are humble, hardworking and far-sighted. It is easier for them to see the essence of anything and take the right measures. Many Westerners look at projects that can be measured by numbers and compare those numbers with India and conclude that India is the next China, but have no idea why China has always been able to get the right response in the last 40 years or whether India can do it.
Merely 2 years ago, lndian economy shrank by a negative -8.6%, one of the worst performing economies in the world. lndian economy is highly fragile and unpredictable
Now, As per IMF and World Bank, India is the fastest growing major economy in the world. In 2022, GDP growth rate of India was 9.1% while growth rate of China was only 2.9%.
The people/culture are totally different; Chinese have a shared group identity for common prosperity based on hard work (no class system); India has a class system which puts a built-in limitation on how far you can go if you're born in the wrong class!
China's power comes from Chinese character
Yes, it is all about careful planning, execution plus lot of hard works and sacrifices. Definitely not a miracle like the West or MSM like to emphasize. The funny thing is Indians believe it, so they just waited for this miracle to fall from the sky day after day, years after years......LOL
Unlike China, india never had a regular 5 year plan and sticking to it come rain or shine.
Like the proverbial snake indians tend to bend and twist when the situation does not favour them or become negative.
There's no preservance in the indian mindset.
Plus the average IQ of the Chinese people is >104 which makes for a highly intelligent and skilled work force. The average Indian IQ is 76.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have worked in Silicon Valley over 4 decades and have worked with South Asians over that period and EVERY LAST Indian/South Asian HAS ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION OF EVER RETURNING TO INDIA/SOUTH ASIA BECAUSE THEY HAVE COMPLETELY GIVEN UP ON INDIA.
At the very first opportunity of gaining full legal residency status ALL of the Indians/South Asian bring over their parents and grandparents and brothers and sisters and whoever else they CAN.
The offspring of Indians/South Asian migrants that arrived in the 1980s now have their own children and the offspring and their children will never NEVER EVER return to to India/South Asia as the United States is COMPLETELY their homeland now.

The reason for the India euphoria is because simple-minded people focus on the fact that India's population is growing rapidly and India is a Western-style democracy. That's it. They ignore important things such as work ethic, national unity, human rights, and good governance. The Indian government has failed to unify the country because of ethnic strife. The Indian government has failed to protect and empower females and use them economically. The Indian government has failed to produce good infrastructure. The Indian government has failed to educate the masses. The Indian government is corrupt and burdened by enormous bureaucracy.

India is a developed country, and will very soon take over the US as the world number 1 super power. The whole country (cities, towns, villages) are vastly clean, very modern and futuristic, with zero crime rate and absolutely zero pollution. There are no slumps, shit-holes, ghettos or poor uneducated hungry people in any corner of India. Each and every Indian is well educated, dead honest, equally wealthy and prosperous. Its democratic government is immensely effective, totally clean and corruption-free -- proven by the country's consistent zero unemployment for decades. Its police force holds the reputation of having the highest global standards of integrity, is very clean, corruption-free, humane, competent and professional in their jobs - they don't take bribes, they don't extort money, they don't protect scammers or organized crime, they don't rape young women or beat ordinary citizens brutally on the streets with batons or long rods like what you usually see in bollywood movies. Its judiciary system has stellar track records where judges had solved and closed all legal cases as quickly as the blink of an eye. Public utilities, public transportation, public education and notably its public toilets are all ranked first in the world. And, in case you're not aware of yet, India proudly has the world largest public toilet freely available for everyone - the Ganga River, where people can conveniently take a bath, pee and poop at the same time in one go. And you should know too that public safety in India is much better than any other countries in the world - very very safe for women to walk alone at night.

I am a Chinese, I want India doing well too as we can make money if they prosper. I hope that they can find out a way to develop consistently
Isn't UA-cam banned in China ?
@@mohba01So many chinese living outside china. They can access UA-cam

I find that the Chinese are very positive and wish others well. It is one reason why China should lead the World.
Great video with Jayant as always telling the truth 👍🏻👍👍🏼
Indian enjoy their freedom and democracy, they don't need work, just enjoy
I don't understand how you can be productive and meet demand when your still in a very tribal environment. I just don't get it.
To the Chinese, they dont mind that India like other Western world thinks China is still poor and weak. China's rise is good for China and Chinese to enjoy and prosper who cares if what others think of China as long as they don't make troubles for China and Chinese.
Countries that lead the world in 44 critical technology* sectors:
1. China = 37
2. USA = 7
3. UK = 0
4. Germany = 0
5. Japan = 0
*In fields like defence, space, robotics, energy, the environment, biotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI), advanced materials and key quantum technology areas

**India leads the world in the field of cow husbandry, which is neither a technology nor critical

Wrong….India is almost 2 or 3 in almost all these 44 aspects

That's so sad about India's future for their people.
He really made his point
That is some blunt honesty right there.
The dishonesty in India and intricate attrition in the work culture is actually a result of deep sitting distrust amongst the people. Cast is a main issue in my opinion.
Yes, India is not the next China! India is the next US !!! Make Bharat great again !!!
McMahon line and Johnson line are illegal based on international law.
indians triggered lol love it
Another factor ignored by the west is the Chinese government's focus on eradicating corruption. It is not just a punch line as there is strong enforcement for those guilty of corruption. That is something unfortunately very difficult for India to eradicate.
very honest and insightful
Harsh but truthful. I have work with Indian for so long, 15 years ago they have a good work ethic but now days they seems dont care any more, bad work ethic, bad attitude, bad planning, bad result, bullying, and over selling their own capabilities (note: i am Indonesian)
bukan makin baik malah tambah parah kah?

AMAZING interview where so much truth is said. Well Done Jayant.
India can never be the next China! Comparing India to China is already an insult to the latter !

I’m an Indian and completely agree about Views on Indian economy ❤
Merely 2 years ago, lndian economy shrank by a negative -8.6%, one of the worst performing economies in the world.
lndian economy is highly fragile and unpredictable
Definitely
Now, As per IMF and World Bank, India is the fastest growing major economy in the world. In 2022, GDP growth rate of India was 9.1% while growth rate of China was only 2.9%.
Please help India's ambition to become the next superpower, so that the US will shift its attention to India.
I am imagining the face of Jai Shankar hearing this wise Indian businessman 😊

There is a reason why so much of India's top talent ends up outside of India. I hope one day India does regain its historical position in the world.
He's 75% right and 25% wrong. Things have changed a lot here.
He is not 75% right. He exaggerated a lot of things.
@Pain-zd5uo actually now he's 99% right.
The people/culture are totally different; Chinese have a shared group identity for common prosperity based on hard work (no class system); India has a class system which puts a built-in limitation on how far you can go if you're born in the wrong class!
不要低估印度,这个国家在这么多问题困扰之下,仍然发展出来了自己的核武器和登月项目,都是在无法获得外来支援的情况下做到的。
