Hi! Realize the trees had three parts in making your magical project! The trees made the paper you used, and you used the trees bark for the pattern and you used the leaves of the trees! Love your magical videos! Blessed be so mote it be! 🌙⭐️💚⛰
I particularly like the bark rubbings. I've take photos of tree bark that had "Green Man" faces on them. Next time I'll take some paper and chalk and see how if it turns out the same. Blessings!
Thank you for helping me add magic to my days. And nights. I am fortunate to be in the forest daily with my English Cocker. In fact, your trails look very much like mine here in Northern Ohio. Isn't that fun? It is especially magical because I live on the edge of the village with a lake view from my terrace, a pond in front of the complex, and a marsh beside it. Living in a modern senior apartment complex could be daunting for a Wyse Woman out of her natural era, but with your help I am able to conjure acceptable, even satisfying, surroundings. What is particularly important in all situations is to vigorously employ one's imagination. Without we should all be doomed to lives of infinite gloom. Bless you, Akwyn.
I truly love it all 🥰 the absolute heart and soul that flows from you into everything shows. Makes it all the more special when you have completed. You should be so proud!! It's all beautiful.
Oh thankyou so much you have no idea how much that means to me 💚📖🧚🏻♂️ I was dreading doing this project becuase I thougut it was going to take so much but actually I really enjoyed it and especially getting out to nature was the most enjoyable part!! Lots of love to you 💚📖🧚🏻♂️
Ha, ha! History of the Lamp Shade! Especially love the bark rubbings and the leaf pressings on the boxes! Also love how your projects are sustainable and you "make do" with what you have. That's a big deal. Thank you
I got it! The perfect idea for a fake book cover! It's so dull, no one will want to touch it, trust me. "A Brief History of Watching Paint Dry". HAHAHAHAHA
So creative and enchanting! I did a bit like you - although not nearly as creative as you of course - with a Clipbook: bought from Etsy some old-looking metallic book corners + a lock, to give it a grimoire look ;)
What a delightful way to hide the mundane, or magical. I've been acquiring magazine holders (all sizes, patterns and 2 wooden ones) for my craft room; now I have inspiration to unify their look. Thank you and Blessed 🐝
I just found you & I'm in LOVE! Your voice, music, and crafting are so enchanting. I love it all! Thank you for all you do. P.S. History of the Lampshade LOL and that forest is absolutely beautiful. You truly are a creature of magic.
You are so creative! The tree/bark rubbings are absolutely brilliant. There is a massive Beech tree in a nearby cemetery that has two "eyes" that watch over the graves. I would love to do a rubbing to preserve that natural work of art. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
Oh thank you very much for these ideas!❤💚!!! I bought a book about being a solitary witch and found some yellow paper than had jokes on it and painted it green and made a book cover for it and hid it amongst my ordinary books. My other witchy books are in a leather satchel inside a cloth bag with a drawstring and is tied in different knots and it's hid behind a lamp table. It's a lot of work to get into just to read a chapter. My tarot cards are in my storage unit in another town. I go there to read them. My crystals are in a wooden box under my bed. I only bring them out on nights of a full moon while everyone sleeps. I wished I had my own place to bring everything out to see the beauty. These ideas are awesome! Big hug to you! Thanks!!!💚😊
I used to stuff like this when I was a kid...why did I forget? Tyvm for this wonderful reminder, Alwyn, and for letting us see your beautiful hidden space.
You're insanely talented! The diys themselves 😍😍 your music and the way you shoot and edit!! I love the close-ups of the flowers and leaves where you are doing the work in the background it's such a cool shot 😍 summer blessings darlin!!
Aww you are so kind thankyou!! I love doing special shots anytime I can they make filming so much fun, and a nice way to incorporate nature into everything i do!!! Summer blessings to you too
Anything you create is always beautiful! I especially love when you re-decorate your altar ( because I love re decorating mine with your inspiration!!) Thank you for making me feel more close with nature. 💗🐌🦋🌿
The finished results are wonderful. I think I might do some bark rubbings to make a slip cover for a plain notebook I have. Also, you could make some leaf prints, cut them out, and make bunting out of them. x
What a lovely idea! I adore DIY and I like things to look nice, but decorative boxes can be expensive and it's hard to find ones that fit the space or look right. This idea is next level! Many thanks 💜💜💜
Hi Alwyn,I love ❤️ your unique raw talents that are boundless! As I love a small woods nearby. It’s one of my most cherished hide aways different animals there, some migrating birds, bunnies, squirrels, and cats sometimes, they visit when I bring them some nibbles etc🐢🦋🐝🐞🐌🦇🕷🪲🐇🐈🌳🌿...you get the picture!ha!Now it will be fun to try some of your mix of things.Your forest is your pallet and canvas. Also, your cat gives approval,as she/he was investigating 😺
Very clever my friend! I too have an enchanted forest that I glean from to help me create. As of late I save junk mail envelopes and make book marks by placing dried leaves and flowers behind the plastic address window. With a few little embellishments I have a cute bookmark and nature at my fingertips! Thank you for another virtual visit through your videos! I enjoy them so much 😊
Oh what a great inventive way to make a bookmark!! I'll have to try that someday, those plastic squares are such a pain and i always feel guilty putting them in the rubbish! Lots of love your way, thanks so much
Thankyou so much my lovely!! Glad you enjoyed it! Omg I can't stop looking at it hahaha 😂 and yes it was so nice to get outside and actually use the nature to be part of my art work! Highly reccomend! 😊📖🌳🌲🧚🏻♂️💚
As for lacklustre book titles, I once came across "The Encyclopedia of Dishcloths" for sale in a common store's crafts section. (It looked so unnaturally boring that I had to have a closer look. Turned out to be a type of knitting manual.) I always like your videos very much. No matter what they depict, they can be depended on to soothe, inspire, and make welcome. I am quite certain that if we could be hooked up to diode machines while viewing an Alwyn Oak video, we could track our actual brain waves recalibrating to a lovely mix of creative energy and soul-deep serenity!
I love your art and creativity! Watching your videos brings back a magical feeling that I had all the time as a child, but which has been more elusive since I’ve reached adulthood. Thank you. 🌳
Hi Kristin 💚 Thankyou for your comment and truly I feel that I make these videos for that very reason 💚 the inner child in me that was repressed for so long and now it has burst out!! So glad you can relate and go back to that time! 💚😊 lots of love 💚

I remember seeing this when it came out, so I came back to it to review your magazine holder transformation techniques to use on my own. I love how you've used tissue paper for texture.
I had forgotten the request for boring book titles, so I'll throw some out there that I've used:
History of Paperclips
Accounting & Bookkeeping Procedures
Complete Guide to Artichokes
Deck & Pergola Design Manual
The Biography of Dag Hamerscholl
i just love the way you jumped and appeared int he forest .. LOL LOL love this channel.
It was all so creative but my favorite bit was the ivy. It pulled it all together. Congratulations!
Thankyou sweet!!! Yes I agree! Everything needs a little bit of Ivy to compelte it!!! Lots of love 💚
