I think I'm doing it all well, but the products I've listed tend to be topics early in the school year. But it's a topic I'm passionate about. I'm hoping when i get more listed I'll get sales. I have had a decent number download the freebie!
Started my TpT store a few months ago and it’s already blown up way beyond my initial expectations and sales goals. This has been really helpful! Now I’m just terrified of taxes.
I started my store in June, I'm from the Lower Mainland in BC, thanks for the tips! I have been watching your videos and made $50 USD in June, $150 in July, and so far this month I'm at $400 USD. I'm not sure if that's a good start or not! I'm a high school ELA teacher so there's not a lot of advice out there for my specific niche (Canadian + high school) on UA-cam.
It seems to me that TPT themselves should be setting rules about what constitutes a sellable item on TPT - items must have this and this and that. Why would TPT be happy that badly-made freebies are appearing on their company site? Doesn't make sense. An email to THEM is what's needed. Ask them if they care about TPT gaining a good reputation.
The challenge is based with how many products are uploaded each day. I do not think they have the manpower for it. Many other marketplaces are experiencing similar situations. Some sellers do not know what constitutes a good quality product (TPT does have a section in their TPT U that highlights this). Thank you, BearBrave!

There was a seller in one of the Facebook groups. He has a cover with Will Smith on it. I sent him a DM saying that I don't think Will Smith would appreciate his face on that cover without getting paid for it. The seller's response was that he will honor any cease-and-desist request that comes from producers and that he is confident that no legitimate copyright holder feels infringed upon.
I'm always surprise when I see TPT products that are based on a book and nothing in the description about getting permission to use. Early on in my selling journey, I purchased clipart from a seller and luckily didn't use as I then worried about the copyright implications. Recently, I searched for the same seller's store on TPT and saw that it's gone.
Hi Helen, I completely agree! I also have clipart that the seller is no longer around (products too). A reminder to read the fine print and if there is no fine print, use caution.

My question is am I only this lucky because of the BTS season or will this mean people are finally noticing me and this trend will continue even after BTS? What has been your experience?

Hi Tracy, early childhood can be a good niche. You will get sales!
@ItsAllPrimary the topics are usually done in Sept, not the early years (I love them but I'm focused on junior/int) 😀

How can you check when a product was uploaded?
It takes a bit of investigating and I can't get the exact date. I look at the date of reviews and I also search their store using "Most Recent".
