I find it great that you guys are doing this for people with mental health problems. I have Aspergers Syndrome (basically messes up how your emotions come out) and people always thought I just had a anger problem. It's suprising how many people give out misconceptions about a person for not knowing the true extent of their mental health. So I hope by the end of the event, you've raised a lot of money and had fun doing it. PS: Next year could be a PlayStation Mascot Marathon (such as Crash, Spyro, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, etc)
+mechashadow I'm just waiting for a "shit games" marathon where they play crap games for the entire marathon, and John ends the Marathon with an "All Silver Medals" run of 06.
I'm glad you're uploading all of these this year. With my current schedule, I probably won't be able to watch most of these live. Here's hoping the rest of it goes well.
It so bumming knowing that I watched both the Sonic-A-Thon and Nintendo-A-Thon and I couldn't donate, well hopefully this is the year for me to contribute my pretty pounds to help you guys (if you end up doing an -A-Thon this year
HellfireComms well, shit. maybe they'll give that money to it(probably not.) I just wanted to know because I was going to donate, and i wanted to know how much i should.
Johnny unfortunately as a child used up an entire summer to complete Super Mario Sunshine. (He was expecting to get something awesome at the end, since most of the video games he played at that point in time where gathering all the collectables equals getting something good.) To his surprise on one of his last days of summer break, after 100% the game, he was awarded with... a postcard telling him to enjoy his summer vacation.......and nothing else...................(I think you know how it ends from there.) You should still watch the review, it's hilarious.
You don't know the half of it. On my first play through of the legend of Zelda NES, I beat it in one evening without dying even once, but I can't beat super Mario bros. I know the struggle.
Mike Burden Umm, not to pour salt in your wound, but since my OP is now half a year old, I have actually since managed to beat Super Mario Bros. several times even. The first time I beat it, I got my ass kicked numerous times at world 8-2, but eventually got around it, and when I finally beat Bowser I was small Mario. The second time, I had gotten better and beat him as Fire Mario. Did you know that you can continue from the world you died in by holding A and pressing start on the title screen after your game over? If not, that might help you out dude ;) You have my full respect on the Legend of Zelda though, I got my ass beat in that gave, and in the sequel too, although that game is actually not as bad as it gets cracked up to be. It's different, but really good. Funny, you wouldn't think that a game about a plumber eating mushrooms would be that hard xD
+PikaLink91 oh I see oops haha. But I have gotten to the last level and I can get to world 8 at least half the time now so I'm sure it's only a letter of time before I beat it. And yeah I know about the continue trick but I want to beat the game at least one time fully legitimate though. After that I'll use warp pipes and continues whenever I want lol. And yes I don't think Zelda 2 is a bad game either, it's just harder and in a different style, nothing wrong with that. Your right the game is surprisingly difficult. Pretty much stems down to getting booted back to the title screen after a game over. There's no single part that stands out as super challenging, but if I die once, I pretty much loose all momentum and get a game over in that level!
Mike Burden Right, practice makes perfect ;-) after beating Ninja Gaiden, I would know xD But more power to you man, don't give up, don't let the game beat you, to quote AVGN "the game is only over, when you make it over". I can certainly follow your logic there. It's kinda the same with me when I beat Ninja Gaiden (sorry for bringing that up all the time), the game has infinite continues by default afterall, so when I finally managed to beat it, I set a new goal for myself "beating it without getting a game over" only then would I prove to myself that I had actually deserved victory (and so I did.....after I discovered the secret location of TWO extra lives throughout the game xD). And I did the same thing in Super Mario Bros. After beating it once (with the continue trick mind you), I beat it again, this time without getting a game over. You could argue though, whether not getting a game over the second time through was a fluke or not, since at that point I had already beaten the game WITH the trick and thus accumulated the experience and skill needed to beat it without dying. Cheating or skill, I'll let you decide ;) Right, just like with Chain of Memories. Many think it is the weakest link (pun intended) in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, but I like it, and don't think it should be frowned upon just for being different. Right! Like, I didn't expect the game to have modern auto-save features or anything, but I was caught with my pants down when I first got a game over and saw the title screen again xD I was like "I.....................get to continue from where I died.........right??"
+PikaLink91 Hey if what I hear about Nina Gaiden is true, you have every right to bring it up whenever(: And there is absolutely nothing wrong with using continues to get better at a game so one day you won't need them. If it works for you, use it.
HellfireComms I'm pretty sure that's not beyond the realm of possibilities... In fact, I think you just guaranteed yourself a full 15K by that announcement alone, seeing as how Johnny's audience are bound go to immeasurable lengths just to make him suffer.
16:30 Thanks for my shoutout :D! Happy Nintendothon guys!
A 100% run of Super Mario Sunshine?
YOSHI JUICE FOR EVERYONE!
ElecmanEXE99 Why Yoshi Juice? Why not Electric Graffiti?
Spamus - It's a reference to SomecallmeJohnny's review of Super Mario Sunshine. Look it up later, it's pretty funny!
ElecmanEXE99 Oh yeah! I remember now! Thanks!
Spamus - Anytime! :)

It's not a Hellfire charity marathon if Johnny does'nt suffer in the end..
+mechashadow I'm just waiting for a "shit games" marathon where they play crap games for the entire marathon, and John ends the Marathon with an "All Silver Medals" run of 06.
+papershadow69 Man that sounds ridiculously boring. Like, even by 06 standards lol
UA-cam is judging eternally with our comments, John.
12:30 He's just Juan guy?
Can there be a section added to hfc in 2015 (what you missed) called "that's so helldragon" where we get a random out of context quite from him? Haha
First SGDQ and now this. The marathons never stop!
I'm glad you're uploading all of these this year. With my current schedule, I probably won't be able to watch most of these live. Here's hoping the rest of it goes well.
I love the Hfc nintendothon lol It was a wonderful time.
Johnny and Ntom are such likeable guys.
Peace, Billy
Poor SomecallmeJohnny ...always forgetting about the continue code in SMB1
1 judgement for eternity
Is there a schedule for the games?
It so bumming knowing that I watched both the Sonic-A-Thon and Nintendo-A-Thon and I couldn't donate, well hopefully this is the year for me to contribute my pretty pounds to help you guys (if you end up doing an -A-Thon this year
FUCKING HAMMER BROS!!!
I didnt have time to catch ghe thing live. If this video is monetized, does the money from it go to charity?
Knuxy Ben No, this is HFC's stuff. This one in particular was monetized by Nintendo though, appropriately enough.
HellfireComms well, shit. maybe they'll give that money to it(probably not.) I just wanted to know because I was going to donate, and i wanted to know how much i should.
Knuxy Ben Any amount will do mate. I did £20 myself at the start of the marathon but any amount will greatly help the cause.
HellfireComms ok. I live in america, so I'll probably do about $20. can you donate when you guys next go online.
Knuxy Ben You can donate whenever you like during the event. If you prefer to wait until we're live, that's fine.
Just about to start watching the marathon. See you in three weeks ;)
So every run will end up on UA-cam? Good, I can't work Twitch to save my life.
Scorpionspear77 Yep. I'm 11/11 so far. Everything's being kept up to date.
Johnny. I think you meant to call it a Fuzzy Meatloaf.
My first Mario game was actually Mario Advance...
I still don't get how 100%ing Sunshine is some kind of punishment. I love that game. I'd run it for you guys, but you'd have to do the commentary! :-P
Watch John's review of it.

Yes the oringal NES version of Super Mario Bros
I just noticed that Mario has 8 coins on the title screen.
Oh yeah what if that could be a way of saying how much yoh beat the game like with lost levels and the stars
I Love you videos!
now play the Lost Levels, you know you want to Johnny :)
best moment 33:58
Next year, do another Nintendothon, Zeldathon, or do a Pokethon.
I think the first time I marioed was with super Mario galaxy 2 (im not joking)
Fun fact: I have beaten Ninja Gaiden without getting a Game Over, but I cannot for the life of me beat Super Mario Bros.
You don't know the half of it. On my first play through of the legend of Zelda NES, I beat it in one evening without dying even once, but I can't beat super Mario bros. I know the struggle.
Mike Burden Umm, not to pour salt in your wound, but since my OP is now half a year old, I have actually since managed to beat Super Mario Bros. several times even.

... what the hell is quid?
Ah, that makes sense, so buck is to dollar as quid is to pound?
yes it is
John's 100%ing Sunshine? Poor bugger. :(
Alex Steward If we reach £9600/$15,000!
HellfireComms And best of luck to you as always. 'Tis a great cause. :)
HellfireComms I'm pretty sure that's not beyond the realm of possibilities... In fact, I think you just guaranteed yourself a full 15K by that announcement alone, seeing as how Johnny's audience are bound go to immeasurable lengths just to make him suffer.
HellfireComms Seriously, the pound to euro exchange rate is insane atm. >_>
