I had spinal fusion surgery at my L5/S1 when I was 21 years old to treat my spondylolisthesis condition. 9 years on, I'm seeing forward slippage in L4/L5 as well and I'm trying all sorts of things to manage the chronic back pain (no nerve pain yet thankfully). I am getting back into pilates and I'm concerned particularly with whether I should be doing flexion and extension movements with this condition. I have read that forward bending should be avoided. Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much

Would the decompression table help fix L5 spondy? I've had chronic back pain for a decade, tightness in trap area and midback, occasional spasms from the inversion table...I've been to 8 decent chiropractors and only the last one confirmed and told me I have the spondylolisthesis. I've been doing the decompression table (6 times now). Maybe that's not even the source of the pain? Would prolotherapy help? I feel unstable, weak, tight and intermittent pulsating pain down the right glute area.
Decompression or inversion is not going to correct a spondylo. Cannot tell you what will or will not work without hands on examination. Although most probably it is sacroiliac imbalance and or muscular.
If you're still checking on this, I have spondylitis (L4/5) and got improvement from a stem cell treatment in my lower back. It included "prp" ( if I have the correct term) in order to target the nerves going down my legs, which is where my pain radiates after I've been on my feet for a few minutes. It took about three months to gradually show much increased stability in my low back and hips . Where I had a lot of pain just trying to walk around the block, I can now walk a brisk mile with only some mild hip pain. Years ago I tried lower back decompression but it was too painful so I did the cervical decompression since I had issues there as well. But no long term improvements.
I hv grade 1 spondy with lower back pain and also tingling pain which radiates from hip, buttock and right down the leg. Chiro toldnto apply ice pack at the affected area whenever there s lower back pain. Besides the effective exercises you hv demonstrated, ut is advisable to do flwg: Squats, push ups, front and back lunges without weights, side plank, bridges squeeze,knee to chest, deadbug exercises and Pelvic tilt. I find I can do stretching ok it's when I walk my upper body moves all over the place jolts around and pushing me into sway back position. I've tried zapain drugs and naproxen for the nerves but still no joy. When I walk the left leg limps too

I dont see how anybody wudn feel this kind of pain lol however i got a fractured L5 n the s1. my report said something about my L4 too but i cant do yet all these exercises yet but yes the pain will go in my groins. outer hips and of coarse lower back. just now found u. i am subscibing. do you have another link on what i described. btw lol i had also broke my tailbone and fractured my hip. its been a long recovery n now my PT has ended but either gonna try see a chiropractor or until im able see if i can get more home PT. btw. happy new year
