Hard to believe just 4 years after this in 82 , I got to see them with Ronnie James Dio on the Mob Rules Tour and I still have the vinyl album that concert totally kicked it 2 years after that last in line tour with Dio's crystal ball and flashing LED whip he was crackin' all over the stage that was a total head Fry and the sonic boom explosions and the heat coming from it, I will never forget that ever 🎸🤘🍺🍻⭐
Thanks for your reaction / interpretation...Spot On😊! I just love everything about this song, from the beautiful chorus to the deep lyrics. And what to say about Black Sabbath's lyricist, the basist Geezer Butler? He's a genius when it comes to lyrics! Thanks🙏
Ozzy had left and was replaced by Dave Walker (Savoy Brown/Fleetwood Mac). He decided to come back and the album was recorded. The band had already written a few songs with Dave Walker. One of them called Breakout. Ozzy refused to sing on it so it was released as an instrumental. drummer Bill Ward sang on Swinging The Chain. Ozzy didn't want to sing on that one either. Walker had originally written the lyrics for Junior's Eyes. Geezer Butler rewrote them about Ozzy losing his father. Black Sabbath was heavily into drugs and alcohol abuse when they recorded Never Day Die. Love the album though. Bill Ward also sang on It's Alright from the Technical Ecstasy album. Great voice. Black Sabbath could have found another drummer and continued with Bill Ward in front IMO
