@@JEMTB90 Definitely helped narrow it down. I guess I best go try a couple. Might see what Just Ride has for hire and go for a good ride to get a better idea 🤔 👍 Cheers ! 🍻
Hello, great vid & riding - bike looks great, a few things I have noticed you maybe able to answer for me regarding the bike, the chain guard looks a bit small any issues with chain slap on the lovely paint work? Also the crank, I would change to an xt crank straight aways - I like my groupset to be all the same , I'm strange like that but is the crank ok? I've heard it's a beast, heavy! Lastly thought I heard some cable rattling from the cable routing on your ride? Oh one more thing how are the brakes now? No fluids in the uk until spring so looking for as much info before pulling the trigger, thanks again
Cheers for watching mate!🤙🏼 Chain slap isn’t a problem when the clutch is on 😅 Once I run the drive train out I would prefer to go with SRAM. I don’t like shimano cranks. Praxis chain ring needs a chain guide as they’re not the best. The bike weight isn’t too bad, but yes… they’re definitely built to be strong. Cables to rattle a little. It can be annoying 😂 but the way the bike feels and rides is well worth it. The brakes are actually pretty good 👌🏼 Once they bed in ha ha.
Well you certainly proved it’s very capable go farking flat out down a trail , clipped in without brakes 🤘🤣. I really think this kind of trail bike is the way to go. The geo is mad and being lighter than an enduro rig can only mean more time on the bike . I really feel I’m over biked now as I’m not doing gnarly stuff anymore and a ebike is probably not in my budget. I’m going to check what builds there are now and by the looks of them they are ready to go right out the box with short stem, wide bars and decent rubber. Heaps good vid mate , the riding was crazy and good to hear shano would get off the Kona for one . Top viewing bud 🦩
Cheers Mick! Yeah this bike really changed my view on what sort of bike I should be riding around local trails. Super capable and easy to climb with and has no dramas descending. Shane’s definitely convinced they’re a wicked bike 😉 Glad ya liked the vid 🤙🏼 more to come. 🦩
Nice ride mate, especially for the first time out on the Norco without pre worn in brakes! Did you get a go on the A2 as well that Shane was on? If so how do you rate it beside the A1, is it much of a step down? I'm hoping to get back into MTB after a while out of the saddle, not sure if I can justify the $ jump to top of the range A1, (as great as it looks). Keep up the great vids!
Hey Paul ✌🏼 cheers for the watch 🤙🏼 I did get to ride the A2, I was invited to a demo day hosted by Norco and that’s what I was originally going to get. They’re great value and not much of a step down really from the A1. So if you can get the A2 you won’t be disappointed. Very solid bike, I was just lucky an A1 popped up for me and I really love the green 😂 🦩
@@JEMTB90 Thanks for the quick reply! Ive got a bit of a soft spot for Norco as my first MTB was a rigid Norco 'Bigfoot' back in the late 90's before upgrading to a dualie. Was a great intro to MTB before getting into better bikes. Great to see them putting out great bikes still. And you're absolutely right, that Fluid looks awesome in green!
For some reason when I heard you say you had no breaks….cue to vision of Jesse going down a trail screaming fuck at the top of his lungs. Then I realised what you meant, new bike means new brakes need to be worn in. Dusty mount cotton an asthmatic’s nightmare 😮
Sick edit .
Sick bikes.

The bike colour looks great and it seems it’s quick 🤙🏼
The colour is gorgeous, and it handles really well.
Super comfortable to ride, and climbing doesn’t feel like a chore 😂

Looks like a solid day on the new sled man. Minced everything at Cotton!!
Yeah she was a long one haha.
Just didn’t hit blacking out or westy’s. Still getting used to clips so was staying away from those 2 😂😂

Very nice man! I need to get my arse out to mount cotton!
Yeah mate!! Would highly recommend it. Sick trails! Westy’s and blacking out are also good but I didn’t wanna do them in clips 😂
