Hey Mate! I can relate to how frustrating the 25k limit on an ebike can be, especially when you need to speed up for a jump. Personally, I am currently using both my ebike and analog bike about 50/50. However, the more I ride my ebike, the more comfortable I get with it. I changed the region on my Marin to US, which allowed me to hit 35km, and it was a significant improvement. Unfortunately, I faced some issues with my Marin, and Bikes online have replaced it with a 2023 version, which I cannot change the region on due to the Shimano motors being too new. Despite this, I still prefer jumping with my analog, but I do find that ebike are more stable on technical terrain maybe due to their weight. No doubt you will quickly get used to it with your downhill riding skills. Last week, I spoke with a rider at DC he was from Bris & he had a black version of your bike with your shop sticker on it, and it looked so sick, maybe I will upgrade my Marin. 😀

Haha, cheers for the watch and lengthy comment. The eBike is definitely more stable through fast chatter... But I still prefer my analogue bike for all types of riding. The eBike is mainly just so I can pump out more laps/km's and get more bike time without the fatigue I suffer no matter what I do. Mondraker's make really good bikes and their ebikes are no joke... Planted, stable, poppy & playful. They've really nailed the way the bike rides. That really sucks about the no bypass for changing region haha.

@@kevinmartin225 Not even as you approach a said age... if you want to have more fun going down a hill and not struggling to go up, an ebike is perfect for you. You can still have a solid workout on one.

Yeah the 25km/h is the biggest issue. The bike looks mint though & Shano crashing with out the bike 😂 .... not sure the display is in a good spot?

Shane is always fun to watch haha.
The bike feels really good to ride.
I think the display is in a better spot there than where it comes usually (sticking out the front 👀)
The 25km/hr limit really does hinder the fun aspect… pushing a motor after really hurts hah

Cheers Mick! It’s an unbelievable bike… especially being such a long travel but handles real nimble. I rolled them back just a touch as it was a little too far forward 🫣

Hey Mick, I bought a Marin Alpine Trail E2 three months ago, and one of the benefits of having an e-bike is that I can cover three times the distance on a trail compared to riding an analog bike. Currently, I ride both bikes equally, with a 50/50 split. Another benefit I have found is that if I have a big day on the analog bike and my legs are sore the next day, I can simply jump on the e-bike and ride again. Additionally, I am not the fastest climber, so it is good to be able to keep up with my friends some on analog and some e-bikes. However, I do find the analog bike much easier to jump, so if I am heading to a private park that has shuttles, I will definitely ride my analog bike.

@@madaboutmtb.21 yeah mate I really have to get a emtb . Simply can’t afford one right now. The Benefits are just huge. I’ve got mates that I out climb have got e-bikes and now ride with the fast guys up a hill. I’m a huge fan of the alpine trail E but due to what I ride ( nothing nasty) I’m thinking the rift zone E2 …..
