Burrtec has some very awesome trucks! Love the AFE and the second gen Autoreach. Best bag catch ever by the driver at 1:45, that took me by surprise. I also like 1337, it looks very nice and has a fun operating style. Awesome video!
Great way to start off the video with that manual packing! These compilation videos are very enjoyable. Lol perfect grab at 1:46, that was cool. That 320 Peterbilt Amrep was something else, that growl when revving sounded awesome! And to see parts of LA colors on the bumper was neat, It's almost like Burrtec has generations of Autoreach in here, Saw 2 maybe even 3 different body styles. And hell at 9:04, lol definitely was tricked by the backing of that 2nd truck thinking how annoying it would be to film that Amrep if that alarm kept going off by operating, haha then there was the other truck. Anyways, Awesome video dude!
Whenever I watch these EDCO videos there always seems to be a nice background, whether it be a desert mountain or a normal street with green trees... so picturesque without trying! As much as I find the white and brown paint scheme boring, there always seems to be a different truck run by this company, lots of variety and what a big fleet it must be. 2:50 was definitely a highlight with that double dump made just as awesome with that growling exhaust idle. Love his catch of the day at 1:44 lol I haven't got a favourite truck sound and let offs like the truck at 5:08 makes it even harder to decide... it's like that deep thunder almost hidden by the whine of the pump, but then you get the full taste of it when he drives off. I knew at 9:30 another truck was about to come into view, gotta love it when double action works out like that - or maybe that was planned :P
Hands down Burrtec has the best fleet around, and when you consider how massive of a company they are now, it's even better knowing they still run so many oddball trucks. Just about any other company would have junked the rest and bought a totally bland, matching fleet. And Burrtec loves their ribbed body trucks as they still only buy Octo bodies from Amrep and the Legal One style from Gomez. Oh, and Burrtec is buying a bunch of 10+ year old used natural gas trucks now to build up their NG fleets which is awesome in itself. Those loud Peterbilt 320 OCto ASLs are easily come of my favorite trucks out there. They have that chest rumbling roar that shakes everything around them, and often times seems to set off car alarms.. lol The last clip was mostly luck, but I saw the potential for it moments before and got that shot in hopes it would work out that way. Sure enough it did! Thanks again Mitch
Very nice! Glad you were able to find a faster WXLL AFE - this one looks cooler imo and it lid flipped! Lol epic bag catch at 1:46. Beautiful WXLL Wittke - love the og CC. That Autoreach was very fun to watch - fast and lid flipped. And it doubled! Sweet!! Wow - that 320/Amrep (1337) sounded real good. Personally like that one better than 3271 as far as sound (that's just me). Was that driver cool with filming? I noticed you only got 1 curbside shot of that truck. Wow...6:35 was awesome. Bet that brought back a ton of memories for ya! And collecting FA Cascades too! Sure wish/hope WM has some still around. Nice 1st Gen Autoreach - liked how this one lid flipped. Nice clip at 9:36! For a temp. camera, this is really really nice quality. I actually like it a lot. What model is it? Awesome comp. enjoyed all these Burrtec compilations!
Holy hell 1337 sounds mean! I hope he didn't tell you to screw off at the end. Great footage, really enjoyed all the trucks. The driver of that Mack really knew what he was doing! About the 15 minute uploads - go into your account settings, click Additional Features, and then resubmit for longer videos. I had to do that about a month ago, not sure why.
1337 wasnt fond of being on film. He politely suggested I look for another truck, so I respected that and left. That thing was beast being revved like that especially. And thanks for the advice about video length!
I would love to ask the original videographer(s) of each of these clips how many times they got yelled at or flipped off! Maybe he knew the drivers. Anyway, did you see that badass, mid-air, floating-bag grab around 01:44? _YEAH!_
yeah 1337 was the best, followed imo by that Curotto. but anyways nice catch @ the LE / Autoreach driver....lol as apparently everyone else has already mentioned. how long has Burrtec of the desert had greens collection? I remember the 310 CNG amrep doing that when you guys went out there last, but in Alex's older vids before that I never ever saw greens. just sorta imagining it might be new
Some areas have had greens since WMX but most cities got greens when the WM name was around. All private areas have landscapers etc so they dont have greens in any of those.. which is about half of the whole area. lol
There will be a couple more clips of 1337 in part 2 whenever I post that. But I have filmed a few other ex-LA octos that sound the same as 1337 from 3 different haulers so you'll hear a lot of that sound in the future. I actually filmed a much better video of 1356 just yesterday and it sounds better than ever. Unfortunately 1337 is the only one who revvs hard though. lol

Yes that was cool when he grabbed the bag!

wow 1337 has an amazing noise! My favorite truck of all by far. It looks like an ex-LA truck just by looking at the green on its front bumper.
