at the moment i used GoPro HERO10 with the polarpro snorkel filter and a cheap video light which is a way better than having the gopro alone. i just did much on post color grading it. i used the snorkel filter by the way because my videolight is a bit yellowish, with red filter and the cheap video light its a way too much but with the snorkel filter its a good starting point though
Hi Andy, i just started my fight with colours..what about if i put on a red filter but i can't do manual white balance? Could it work recording a grey card at the beginning of each footage and white balance on that in post?
@@AquaticImages I have done few dives with a gopro7, between surface and 9 meters depth, with a red filter on..but i didn't get a good balance..and i was thinking what about if i put a padi slate in front of the camera at the beginning of each footage and use it in post for white balance than cut it off of course..i m thinking to move to a rx100m7..would you recommend it for underwater?
@@ntartienii it might work with the slate, but you can likely achieve the same results just by practicing grading. I did a video on it that might be helpful. While the RX cameras are highly versatile I just think they're so expensive for a 1" sensor camera.
@@AquaticImages that s why i was pointing on Rx, because i would use it for travel and it seems a good compromise for both land and underwater. Thanks Andy, very helpful 👍
Very good and learning video, I will use your advices because I want to make underwater videos and vlog this summer. You will check it if you're interesting. Thanks :)
Excellent advice and thank you for sharing. Love the short Titan Triggerfish segment as it adds just the right touch of humor to your presentation!
Thank you! 😊
Super helpful! Going on my first underwater spear fishing shoot and super excited!
