You must have a bunch of this black precipitate powder lying around. I know I don’t throw anything out. Why don’t you try to dissolve it in nitric? If it’s gold it won’t be affected. Otherwise, it’s a quick and easy test to see if your process is working for you.

I never see that gold before till I did chemical analysis of that soil, and then I was surprised when I see so much gold in that sand
Usually the sand is roasted to get rid of of the pyrite. Roasting oxidize the sulfur and turns pyrite into iron oxide... or rust.

...so you need to process approximately 75 five gallon buckets for one troy ounce, if I did the math right. You can do it! 😎
