      @@markdapucanta660 I didn’t get a 6 pack with just a ab wheel, I did that doing crunchiest ,sit ups ect but I do maintainer with the an wheel only. You have to realise that it’s it takes a lot of work to get the 6 pack but once you get there maintaining it is a lot easier, also you need to realise the importance of keeping lean because it doesn’t matter how good your abs are if they are covered in a layer of fat . Good abs are more to do with a good diet rather than exercise , hope this helps

    Remember, keep your arms straight, keep your glutes tight, and squeeze your stomach. Finally, you use the abs themselves, you keep the wheel out in front half way and when you bring back, you use your abs, not the wheel. The tension is gone when it is done like that, so please do it correctly. After one rep, breathe out and do it the same way again. Keep resetting the technique, for every rep. Good luck guys.

      @@kocho4242 you don't want to work the triceps. Obviously you work the triceps even when they are straight, but it helps maintain balance and doesn't exclusively put the pressure on the triceps, more on the core

      I have no idea what anyone ever means by “Bring yourself back with your abs” lol that makes no sense. I’ve done the ab wheel for years, it shreds the hell out of my abs, but clearly my arms bring me back. There’s no way in hell that my stomach has the power to pull me back to knees from fully elongated.

    • @dillonehrmantraut
      @dillonehrmantraut Рік тому +2

      @@joebuck4496 From the bottom/extended point of the movement, you’re more so trying to curl/crunch in with your abs. Like curling into a ball but your knees stay in the same place while you’re upper half is brought in by the force or “pull” of your crunch. A good way to feel a proper crunch is to tilt/squeeze your hips in to engage lower abs and then bring your chest down to engage upper.
      Hope this helps. Happy to answer any further questions if you have any.

    Use a loop band anchored with tension on your foot on one end and on the handles of the wheel for great control during each and every rep, its being a game changer for me.

    1. Slight curl of the back, don’t allow belly and back to bow in cow position, be more like the
    Halloween cat.
    2 Don’t use hips to pull your body back after extending. Keep hips passive as you use arms and abs to pull you back

      Start with kneeling ab rolls. Then, after slowly increasing reps. Try to do some standing ab rolls. This will strengthen ab muscles, but to have a visable 6 pack, you will need to decrease body fat percentage to a level where ab muscles can show. This is done in the kitchen more than the gym. Remember, eat enough to fuel you for the whole day, but not too much that you gain weight or plateau.

      @@shan5445 for your information, I started doing it at age 17 and now I'm 23.
      At first it hurt so much that I could only do it once a week...it got easier. I ended up doing it several times a week...increasing reps, until I gained the mobility to do the full length standing one.
      Today when I do the kneeling ab wheel rollout it takes way to many reps before I feel anything...so I prefer doing harder exercises.
