This is a review of the Huion Inspiroy Q11K drawing tablet. I'm probably not going to do reviews very often, but I wanted to try it at least once. If you're not in the market for a tablet, no worries, I still included a lot of fun digital painting and paintsploration footage. Skip the first 3 minutes for that. You can even just mute the video and put on some music!

What should we call this tablet?
Ron: How about the Inspiron?
Roy: I have a better idea
Dell, about to file a trademark dispute: "Call off the Lawyers, boys. It's nor worth it"
"This isn't an iPhone, functionally is actually really important" 😂
Yes I noticed that 'slight' he slipped in as well. Stop iPhone hatin'! We are people too! Lol

WHAT, you can stick a piece of paper on top of your tablet and it still works!? This is the most helpful thing I got from this review!
yeap! can't agree more! gamechanger! BOOM!
It'll run your pen tips down way faster.. Keep that in mind!!
The pen works individually of the tablet, I mean the tablet is only for tracking and the pen is for clicking, but they have to be in the effect to work in tangent
@@evindrews i use filament 3d
I love it when Paintsploration creeps in out of nowhere.
This paintsploration was sponsored by Huion and Marco Bucci
Wow! Just bumped into your channel searching for the Huion tablet review, and then got BLOWN AWAY by this amazing paintsploration thing!! What a great talent and a great way to study iterrative painting! Thanks!
Yayyyy Yeas finally a new video! love the review and waiting or more content :D
this is the greatest product review i've EVER seen in my life
Marcos videos is very inspirational! Each time I watch them I get some extra energy to my drawings :)
Huion for life! I have the Kamvas 191. Sooooo glad to see you doing a Huion review.
Although, Jimmy makes me wanna get an ipad for portability.
I love my orginal bamboo wacom, its also 15 years old and still kicking. It does have a button thats broken this year but thats characteristic now. My little buddy is bad ass to the bone and will take on anything.
Man I had a bamboo wacom 10 years ago. Sadly mine didnt make it. I've been through a bunch of different tablets but that thing was my favourite of them all, shame it was discontinued by the time it broke.
This is very nice and helpfull. Thank you Sinix. May I also ask you. Don't you zoom in while painting or is this a special capure software?
I don't zoom in unless I'm really trying to make a finished illustration for print or something.
You are one of my favourite artist you really influence my art. :D
Loved it. So glad that i watched this review 😁
Helpful review! I used one of their older tablets a while back and it was pretty functional and reliable. I’d imagine since this is newer it would be even better. And great Xenogears track at the end!
Great review and excellent audio! Also, knowing about those brush smoothing settings changes everything :O I lol'd @ the sweet tape and paper customization ;)
Awesome content as always
Anatomy quick tips: eyes pls.
I have had this as my first tablet for a few months, it is doing well although it sometimes has connection issues. Thanks for the paper tip ill definitely give it a go
I still can't fathom why i haven't put paper on my tablet after seeing one of your videos on it.
Thanks for the Review! I have no experience with HUION but last I looked at their products, they seemed like makes some very good products at an affordable price.
Personally I have the XP-Pen Deco 03 wireless drawing tablet and don’t have any issue. Not only it’s cheaper than similarly featured Wacom, but also has a battery-less pen and no nib wear (I tend to press pen quite hard, unless I’m working on details to have consistent lines and if it would be wearing out, I’d notice it). The only thing I’d warn you about is that it feels like drawing on glass, but you can get used to it quite quickly and I actually prefer it.
That paper on tablet technique is surprisingly really helpful for me to control the lineart
And this is why I'm subscribed.
I need a tablet upgrade. Thanks for the review sinix
This inspired me and at the same time makes me want to donate my 2017 intuos pro tablet to you because I know you’d obviously make great use of it. I rarely use it since I have my iPad.
Hey am about to order a tablet and I was wondering since the new version 2 of this tablet (the q11k v2) and the wh1409 v2 both are very similar except for the wh1409 being larger everything else is relatively the same same pen everything.. so I was wondering which one would you recommended buying ? The medium sized q11k v2 or the wh1409 v2?
Ayy sinix you came back
Nice works 😍👍
I used to have a bamboo pen, which I loved, but got a newer wacom intuos. I gave away the bamboo to a friend that needed a tablet, but really wish I still had it, as it was just super solid.
That was actually some pretty noice asmr :3
I came to see the review and at the end i was like..wow!
What's the song used at the part where Sinix just shows the rest of the paintsploration? Sounds like something I've heard in some old JRPG ages ago or something.
You have an Amazing way of thinking Sinix Design! How long did it take you to do this paintsploration?
I love your painting and Xenogears so... thumbs up!
What's the name of the background music you used for the end of the paintsploration?
Its from Xenogears The treasure that cannot be stolen
Amazing skills.
Thanks for the nice review but My god.... you are so insanely talented. I was a high school art award winning student and I’m glad I never had someone like u in my grade.
nice music, isn't that from Shevat, "The Wind is Calling", Xenogears?
Goddammit, a hidden Paintsploration! It took me half a year to get around to watching this video, because I didn't think there'd be anything of interest to me in it. Curse you, Sinix!
I came here looking for a review of the Huion Roy tablet but by the end of the video I'm now more interested to know if Sinix does live streams here or on Twitch and I'm curious what Intuos tablet he still uses. This was a great review.
Neat, that's the tablet I use. It's pretty great, especially for the price.
whats the difference between this tablet and the 1080 plus?
How do you swap colors and brushsize if not with the buttons?.. I'm curious, because that's what keeps annoying me since it's an obstacle to my workflow..
keyboard shortcuts
I bought the q11k . I do not have a disc drive in my laptop. Can I use the tablet at all?
The final reminds me of Ian Mcque.
I really love your paint-explorations. They inspire me to pass through my limits. However, I tried to simulate a paint-explorations and I saw only a huge and messy caos :( can you give to me some tips of how to transform the caos into a good environmental piece like this? I know that you have a lot of experience and you practice a lot. But some times I'm so block and it's so frustrating, and it never ends jajaja
Many thanks for upload your videos :D
Hi Please is the Huion INSPIROY Q11K V2 compatible with mac OS 10.14 Mojave?
is a screen tablet better ( cintiq or equivalents ) ? it will improve my art ? or if i can't create something good with just a regular tablet i wont on a cintiq ( or other drawing monitor )
brylidan I had the same questions as you a couple of years ago. But the reality is 'No, it doesn't.' if you feel frustrated because you think that you aren't too good as Sinix or other UA-camrs/Instagram/whatever, stop to watching the for a while.
If you can make a master piece with a simple pen you can make a masterpiece with watercolours, oils, even a digital tablet. It's really important to know the basics, and draw. DRAW A LOT. Every day, every thing. And to keep in mind that all the people that is better than you is because they have more experience and more time in their backs drawing than you. To be serious with this, you need to be patient. So! Stop complaining and start to draw 😉😉😉😋😋
@@noniko96 ty pame love you lots
The musical interlude sounds really familiar, where is it from?
Xenogears if Im not mistaken
@@davidilaoa8040 thank you!
Cozy video! Nice of you to give Marco Bucci a shout-out, he's dropping some real redpills in the realm of painting.
Hey Sinix, big fan here! Can you make a normal speed painting video?
Lol this review is gold.
I have a different Huion tablet (the wh1409 I think) and I just wanted to say that, while the tablet is wonderful when it functions, the wireless function stopped working after a month or so and Huion support doesn't answer emails. The Amazon seller (which was Huion) also doesn't do anything
have you tried huion on tumblr? they' usually answer there
Sinix knows DA WEY
Does this come with any art apps?
feerst! Hi sinix I love your art
I laughed because you're right, I don't need a tablet but I watched anyway. Also the auto generated captions put "paints flirtation" instead of paintsploration
little ian mcque at the end :) yeah thx for the video
Mmm, personally I hate the extra buffer space on the old tablets, makes them take up wayyyy too much room, I can never find a comfortable space for them, especially when I'm using them with a laptop.
Maybe they could make a frame you can put it in.
ROY'S OUR BOY!
No! I can't stand the huge margins on my Intuos Pro. They should just make an optional rest attachment or something. I don't even use the buttons on the tablet. I just want pure tablet with 1 inch margins. But I can't get the non pro intuos line because they don't have tilt :(
I completely agree. An optional case for margins would be best. Really for any big strokes your hand shouldn't be resting on the tablet at all and if you end up drawing towards the edge, just move the digital canvas and put your hand in the center.
Personally I love having buttons. I use my left hand to undo, channge between eraser and brush, change layers, etc. i even attatched a tiny keyboard to my tablet and used software to create a lot of macros to use. Its just fun. plus I like laying back away from the desk lol
But you just said you use a tiny keyboard (I'm assuming a modded number pad?)? I used to do that, but now I just use the keyboard's left side (I have a custom keymap in all my programs), which is why I never use the tablet's buttons. The extra margin on the tablet makes it kind of uncomfortable to reach for my keyboard the way I use it (diagonal on my lap resting the top edge on the desk).
Alan's Art Log its a little bluetooth keyboard. i can lean back with the tabblet in my lap, draw with my right hand and access all the little keys with my left thumb. maybe i should take a pic. the keyboard attatched to the tabblet is like 6 inches. long and 2 inches wide .(also its physically mounted to the tablet, so my intos has a little keyboard atatched along the left side) . its an over the top solution but it was kinda sooomething i just wanted to try. plus using autohotkey you can use all kinds of macros that you cant do in the painting software itsself. but thats a whole other subject lol. im bad at explaining things tho. just.. trust me that its comfy. hahha
How do you press modifiers on such a small keyboard? Or do you have everything mapped to single keys?
I'm a huge fan of autohotkey btw, though I rarely use it for art programs unless they don't allow a remap.
I wish tablets came with separated buttons, like the professional cintiqs at one point came with an express key remote (don't think they still do :( ). I want a like 30 key remote with modifier keys on the back. Would be amazing.
I did try a cheap 10 button mouse once for 3d without a tablet but it hurt my wrist and didn't really support macros nicely.
i have the same one and my pen doesn't make a popping sound
In my experience Huion tablets are basically made of polished wet marble in terms of grip
you did good, Roy.
Sneaky sneaky! I see what you did there!
Have you ever used an artist' glove? So much easier to rest your hand on the drawing area, without affecting your process. Of course, coming from a large pen display, and pen tablet... it's never on my lap.
"JIM! WATCH OUT! IT'S ROY!"
You're welcome! XD
I watched a product review, and I don't even need a tablet!
The size isnt about it being sleek, the reason why there is no buffer is that this tablet is the biggest it can be before it is bigger than a 15.6-inch laptop, adding a bigger bessel would break this and severely ruin portability, anybody know if you can flip the tablet so that the buttons are at the right, so that you can rest your hand over the buttons
what about a removable buffer?
@@IAMSOUND99 That would be legit, also I bought the tablet and yes you can flip the tablet so the buttons are on the right
Soo whole stream was on huion ;o
Chrono Cross or Xenogears not sure ?
okay so like a over a year late, but you should 100% do more of that ASMR stuff.
Huion is better than Wacom ???
miom thank you
as a warning i bought my tablet from China (via amazon), none of the drivers or cds worked and the tablet wouldnt run, nobody would accept a return or even speak English to me so i was stuck with an expensive paperweight
its cheaper only
I watched a product review and don’t even need a tablet.
11:31 lol
11:23 :^)
But how do you use it?!?!?!?
with magic. black magic
i rename my tablet into roy. its dumb but lovely :> oh royght
why so many models?
anyone looking for the warp tool he's using to move some parts of the painting, here it is
/watch?v=FVPQYDBCmo8
......... 6:37 things start to get weird, lol.
Thanks.
What's up with that green sonic? haha
maggi has a lovely face
was that maggi?lol
wah?
I think literally any tablet that isn't Wacom has to have rechargeable pens due to Wacom owning the patent for the charge-free tech
This guy reminds me of the science teacher from Stranger Things
The only reason huion needs to put a battery in their tablet is because wacom patented and prevented any other company from making battery-less pens, otherwise huion would indeed, have made battery-less pens.
Sinix, 16" is a nice size for you.
Lube up and ask XP-PEN in Chinese for their 16" display to review. People need to know how good this display is. You're almost at a quarter of a million subs, time for that sweet free stuff, i'm sure they're happy to oblige;)
This is how you spend time in China :)
*15 ?!?!*
*0:24* D:
Why does he hate Wacom so much?
GUYS EVEN IF SINIX SAID 0:56 THAT CHEABER ITS WORSE BUT HUION H950P ITS WAY BETTER THEN HUION Q11K AND ITS HEAPER WITH LIKE 40$ IT HAS AUTO PEN CHARGE NOT LIKE THE Q11K AND ITS SIZE ITS JUST PERFECT ALSO THE H950P HAS A BETTER STYLUS
The Q11K V2 now has better design and a better stylus that does not require charging
Sellllllllllllll Ouuuuuuuuuuutttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt, good review though.
First artist who said about this disgusting noise of pen tip when you put up a stylus off the tablet. It's very painfull, becouse, for me, this is good tablet and very cheep, but this noise makes me mad. And you have to listen to it for hours
YOU MADE AN EXTREMELY PHOTO REALISTIC PICTURE AND RUINED IT !!!!
What is the name of that song in the last minutes of the paintsploration? Suddenly the mixture between the images and that song reminded me of the fantasy setting of a game that I used to play a lot.
It's a song from Xenogears (called, "shevat, the wind is calling"). I had a lot of fun with that game as a kid.
