Just like how they completely changed Patrick’s parents, Patrick has a sister named Sam. Sam is a high strong Deep voiced starfish that I think kids would enjoy, might be a little violent or aggressive.
I looked at the wiki and it says that Sam made a cameo in two episodes of The Patrick Star Show

The main issue I have with this and so many other modern cartoons is that they are completely unintelligible and random, with no plots, lessons, or any sort of intelligent humor. It’s just cheap gag after cheap gag, which only contributes to the brain rot of younger generations. Instead of thought out jokes that can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike, it’s just random nonsense mixed with grotesque scenarios. Absolutely nothing makes sense, and it’s hard to watch. I couldn’t even get through a single episode of the Patrick star show, and it’s a shame that this is a spin-off of the same show that gave us iconic moments and episodes such as band geeks or graveyard shift.
Still better than Kamp Koral at least. I couldn't handle the weirdness with Kamp Koral compared to Patrick.

Just confirming what some other people have said, but Stephen Hillenburg was vehemently against any Spongebob spinoffs being made at all, so stuff like this, the new Sandy movie and that summer camp show where they were all kids being announced and/or coming out Pretty Fucking Quickly after his death was genuinely super fucked up

This isn’t true. It’s not that he didn’t want them, he just didn’t think they would really work. With prequels, that’s a different story, but these movies and spinoffs are either in universe with SpongeBob or a different timeline.
Squidina was from one of the episodes in Spongebob called "Goons on the Moon" But Patrick was never in that episode and basically in the episode she was rambling how she loved action figures and stuff. You can search more into it if you'd like.

It’s very ridiculous when you find out that Stephen Hillenburg did state that he did not want any spin offs, reboots, or anything else relating to SpongeBob prior to his death. But instead, we got this. Nobody asked for it. Disrespectful, very disappointing, and mean spirited.

Patrick forgot who his parents are again
The flanderization of Patrick after the first couple seasons is actually sad. He’s always been stupid and goofy, but he used to seem sort of like a real guy compared to what we got in later seasons. He’s always a dick and completely oblivious. They took away the last two brain cells he was rubbing together to make a spark.

This show basically took everything that made SpongeBob special and tear it to shreds, setting it on fire.
The only good thing about this show is how Spongebob looks. It's actually pretty good, and it's an outfit that you can actually believe Spongebob would wear, whether younger or older. Also, he generally looks adorable in it, and an adorable looking Spongebob makes a lot of things better in terms of the series.

Hello! Big fan of your content but just wanted to ask, why not watch the worst AND the best episodes of The Patrick Star Show? I think basing the whole show off of the worst one is unfair, especially since it is the first episode of the series. In my opinion the show gets good in the 2nd season. And by the way Stephen did know the existence of both spinoffs and approved of them. Anyways big fan and I hope you do this idea!

I feel like this idea could be branded as anything else and it wouldn't take away from it. Spongebob is just a skin it wears so it can use a pre-existing fanbase, because would many people actually watch this without that? If money wasn't something that mattered then this probably wouldn't exist.

The problem was that the visionary who created the franchise wanted it to end the series after the first movie but Nickelodeon had to squeeze every bit of life and soul out of the series for another 500 seasons of the shell that was once Spongebob.

2:25 Squidina did appear in the main series. She played a major role in the season 11 episode "Goons on the Moon" as a teenager. This show is supposed to take place before the main series if I remember correctly.

I hate that animation of patrick brushing his eye. It just evokes pain. The gag from the first movie was funny because it was the first of its kind, a clever subversion after the close up of spongebob's double headed toothbrush to complement his buck teeth, and ISNT PAINFUL TO WITNESS.

The absurd sequence of Patrick getting ready reminds me of “Rise and Shine”-a four minute mini-episode in season 5. Its gags aren’t silly because of extravagant scenery or events (the scenery is Patrick’s home, which is just sand, and the events could be very similar to an average morning routine if not for the person who’s performing it). It’s a very character-driven episode, and it worked because Patrick was more like himself, and it ultimately ended with him ready to go as if he didn’t just have a crazy morning. You take away who Patrick is and try it again, it’s not going to work. Now, some would argue that Patrick wasn’t himself in season 5, which is completely understandable. The flanderization had started, but it was nowhere near where it is now

Let me get the full facts in: In the past Stephen Hillenburg was definitely against making a Spongebob spinoff, based on a 2009 interview and other things. There is a possibility, not confirmed, that before he passed away he could have changed his mind or approved of a Spongebob spinoff. The main interview where Hillenburg talked about this was about 10 years before he passed away. And if you look at the dates, Nickelodeon apparently started brainstorming for a Spongebob spinoff (Kamp Koral) in October of 2018 and Hillenburg passed away in November of 2018. There's also a possibility he changed his mind on the subject between 2009 and 2018 but never publicly stated that his opinion changed for whatever reason.
Can't deny the timing is incredibly sus though. If Hillenburg really did change his mind on spinoffs and totally approved of Kamp Koral, wouldn't Nickelodeon have wanted to tell everyone about that during the backlash? Also even if he knew that Spongebob spinoffs were being discussed internally at Nickelodeon in October, his health wasn't good (died from ALS). Did they maybe wait to discuss spinoffs until he wasn't in good enough health to protest much or when they knew he wouldn't be around much longer? Or is the timing all a coincidence that happens to look bad?
