When your budding the ends up together like the way you did. It leaves it pretty bulky if you take those seams apart. Sew each side the binding side and the flash side together at the fold and then sew the flashing and a binding back together again. And then you've had it all trimmed it lays much smoother and nicer.
Thank you for the close up tutorial of the flange binding. Tried it one time but doing it the manual way of stitching on two bindings. That was not a fun process. This is much better.😅

Mary, there is no pattern; I made it up as I went! So, I'll have to work on getting a pattern for this quilt! LOL!
