Hey me too! There aren't enough games based on that kind of sword and sorcery aesthetic. Conan Exiles is pretty good but it's a multiplayer survival game not a story driven experience :(
One thing that still bothers me to this day is the fact that Simon has this bad ass barbarian-look but his predecessors look more sofisticated (Leon, Trevor, etc). I would have liked to see how the clothes always evolved with the different eras. Today they kind of do, but in my opinion, Simon Belmont's barbarian look should have been used for the first Belmont; when humans were more tribal and somesuch. I remember how I as a young adult commented on the fact that in Vampire's Kiss, Richter looks more civilized than Simon from his Super Castlevania IV appearance, but it all fit perfectly; Simon's first conflict with Dracula took place about a century earlier, so I just figured "oh yeah, it shows in the clothes, that's awesome!". Simon was more of a chainmail-wearing warrior whereas the world by Richter 's time had moved on to coats and embroideries; it just blew my mind and made the whole timeline much more tangible. Then I found out that there were other games that took place much further back which spoiled that whole barbarian-look, primarily by having Trevor look just like Richter (at least in their respective anime-like stills). I got so annoyed and even contemplated personally disavowing any knowledge of the games that were set prior to Simon's first game. But then I realized that would be such a hassle and I settled down, grumbling but acceding.
blame japanese chara-designers, they didn't make proper researches about 1400s clothing... although barbarian style is still cool and screams eighties coolness
Uh Matthias does not "Just happen to be a vampire" he turns to one after stealing Walter's soul. I truly believe the people at mojo don't play the games they talk about.
They should make a collection of the first 4 games(Original, Simon's Quest, Dracula's Curse, Super Castlevania IV) with extra content and some tweaking for Simon's Quest. As much as I love all of these games(especially IV), they're too short for today's standards, and Simon's Quest suffers from lots of design issues that I personally don't mind, but many others do.

I have an idea for a new game, a 2.5D Metroidvania called Castlevania - Chaos of Dimensions: Another Dracula, from the alternative Sonia timeline, has come to the actual timeline to take over it after having heard that there are multiple dimensions and Soma Cruz has gone missing for inexplicable reasons. A new Belmont rises out of the ashes of his frail retired grandfather Julius, 18 year old Johannes, who, like the original Dracula, underwent alchemical procedures to achieve vampirism, albeit reluctantly. He is joined by Genya Arikado/Alucard, dhampir son of Dracula, Sofia Lecarde, latest wielder of the Alucard Spear, Ernesto Danasty, most agile man in modern Europe, and Beatrice Belnades, heir of the Belnades, to stop the Dracula from a different dimension. More details on this game if you want. Just ask.
Kyle Lee if I had to draw Johannes then you would question his gender even more. It wouldn’t be in Ayami Kojima style, it’s more of a 2010s anime style, but still. Also, Emile is now called Ernst, Beatrice is called Amelie and I added 4 more characters: Marion Gandolfi, alchemist and Devil Forgemaster, Françoise Renard, new wielder of the 4 Zodiacs, Sofia Lecarde, user of both the Alucard Spear and Dominus and Hakuba Mitsuhide, onmyoji and jonin rank ninja.
@@mattcrowell5875 Maybe as an added bonus to the main game, we could have a linear game which rewrites Dracula by Bram Stoker to fit the Castlevania timeline and fill the gap between Order of Ecclesia and Bloodlines. The main playable character is Quincy Morris, Texan vampire hunter who was given the Vampire Killer by an elderly Richter Belmont at a young age after hearing of his indirect bloodline, training under his tutelage until Richter's death. Quincy is now a man at this time and hears of Dracula's resurrection by deranged psychopath Renfield, the reincarnation of dark priest Shaft. He meets up and allies with Jonathan Harker, Abraham Van Helsing and of course, Alucard, to end the threat once and for all. As far as gameplay goes, it could combine elements from Dracula's Curse, Super Castlevania 4, Rondo of Blood and Bloodlines. Quincy serves as the traditional whip wielder, able to whip in all 8 directions and flail/spin brandish the whip, as well as sliding, drop kicks, uppercuts, backflips, front flips, double jumps, Omnia Vanitas and Item Crashes. Jonathan Harker uses his fists and feet, somewhat similar to the Sega CD game, Van Helsing is an expert marksman with his own specialised magic projectiles and you know what Alucard does, sword and dark vampire magic. You start with Quincy and as the game progresses, you can get the other characters by taking different paths, however you are able to get all 3 of the support characters and switch between them on the fly regardless of what path you take. Due to the addition of extra agility moves, the platforming here would be more difficult than the others, but you can jump on and off the stairs, swing and grapple from ledges and even interact with the environment. Each character has different subweapons, Quincy and Harker have the traditional vampire hunting gear, Van Helsing switches between special ammunition, firearms and explosives and Alucard has all his vampire abilities, Spread Fire, Dark Meteor, Flame Pillar, Soul of Bat, Mist and Wolf, etc.

Well Walter did have the Ebony Stone hence the eternal night all around his domain. But Mathias already had the crimson stone and Walter does mention that he wasn't able to obtain the crimson stone. He also said that someday it would be his. But the Ebony Stone was destroyed by Leon to where there was nothing left to protect himself any longer.
