I still remember this act from watching it as a kid. To this day, and for all time, I will always hear psycho chicken and the buck-bucks.
More please. I don't know a Millennial kid that doesn't miss this show.
Loved this show growing up, it needs to be brought back xx
@@jessicalouise1580 They tried doing that a while back and the ratings were terrible. Times have changed, people don't want to watch a variety show like this anymore when they can watch what they want on UA-cam etc. It just doesn't work anymore in this day and age. Sad but true.
@@wades9327 my parents loved the show during its original run and I was 9-10 years old when they did the reunion specials and the full season the following year. I thought it was a fantastic show
I miss this show
This was the guy who change it to psycho chicken
everytime we hear that song buk buk buk xd
Bring back red faces.
Originally a hit by a British group called The Fools back in 1980 Pommy Johnson also issued the single and it was Produced by Red symons
I never knew this so thanks for the History Lesson 😁👍
That's why they didn't score him.
no they the fools were from Boston Massachusetts USA the drummer taught my roommate the drums at same place i bought guitar they were a parody act but did original parody to like there hit life sucks and then you die
That’s true. The Fools are from Boston (or Ipswich more precisely) Massachusetts. I saw them at a club there in the late 70’s. One of the best live shows I’ve ever seen. Check out another song of theirs called “It’s a Night for Beautiful Girls.” They still play around the Boston area from time to time.
Start a show again please Daryl there's multiple streaming platforms Australia misses and needs this again nothing beat sitting around with the friends and family watching hey hey on Saturdays back in the day
I know right theirs too many scripted reality shows or bad soap opera TV series
@@jackko21 yeah we need a variety show back I mean this was just an all-round classic
Or Channel 9 could grow a set and bring it back with a modern cast, a non-PC cast that is.
@@Alabaster335 that's right they can even play it at a later time slot packers gone they can make their own rules plus they can make a shit load in ads and sponsors for the show but who are to tell them what to do just a bunch of sheep is all we are....
I know know why they don't at least do a twice annually special. Like Hey Hey it's Anzac Day, then Hey Hey It's Christmas Day/Hey Hey It's New Year's Day type thing. Make it a three hour thing, from 6pm-9pm, have some legit competitions as well as Red Faces, Plucka Duck, Celebrity Head etc. Have it on a public holiday to get the viewership up and make it a tradition thing. Make it interactive with some social media polls/involvement and some contemporaneous UA-cam action and it could really take off.
The support is there, lots of Millienials like myself would park their kids down in front of the TV for that.
Bloody brilliant mate!!!
this was a song already by local massachusetts band called the fools it psycho chicken was released 1980 they were a parody/ original act as well
Ah yes I remember this and also the Maoris doing the haka to old McDonald
Oh nurse.

Why didn't they score him?
