Fun fact about the kart (actually called a bobsled) in Sonic Heroes....
You can slow yourself down. One of the buttons acts as a brake provided you don't lose your speed character by getting hit. Also, losing the power character prevents the bobsled from turning, which tends to be the 2nd hit taken.

I found out sometime ago that in Sonic Heroes, if you don't have any rings, and if there's one nearby, your companions are programmed to get it in case you don't. 5:56 case in point.
but in boss fights they designed to just never kill with you so you will gonna be in hell fighting the boss XD

For the 2d games other than sonic 1, try reving up a spin dash and double click the jump button right at you let go, that momentum should carry you far but I doubt you would have made it past the green hill zone levels since all the other levels have sections that basically force you to collect rings.

ok so like... that's just making it TOO easy, that's something i actually kinda hate when games do "oh you have low health going into this boss fight and didn't heal? it's ok, here's some health" like you don't see undertale giving you free health when going into a boss fight, you don't see final fantasy giving you free health, you don't see ... alot of games giving you free health, if you forget to heal/save/whatevergivesyouhealth before going into a boss, you have to deal with whatever health you have and heal DURING the fight and if there are no healing items, then you just have to deal with having low health

The reason he didn’t grab the drill wisp in sonic colors is because he had super sonic turned on with super sonic turned on, You have no access to wisps but you if you collect 50 you can play as super sonic
