Paper Weight or Practical? | 2023 StreetFighter V4 SP2

- Hey Everyone, today we are going over what it's been like riding the 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP2 for the first 500 miles. Between the street and the track this bike really is the best of both worlds. It's so nimble and light on its feet, and brutal when you twist the throttle. The brakes are so good they will pull your eyes out of your head! The dry clutch rattle constantly reminds you that you are on a beast that's ready to rip and any moment. Is the SP2 worth almost double the base model? Stay tuned to find out as we hit the street and track to get to the bottom of it.
Thank you all for watching and spending your time with me. I'm trying my best to get videos edited and released. Don't go anywhere!

Congrats, beautiful bike. I have a BMW M1000r Competition pack, which is also amazing but I’d love to test out this bike.
I said the same about your bike!
550 subscriber here. Nice review by the way.
Appreciate the Sub!! I'll keep them coming!
does that steering damper come standard or is that aftermarket add on?
I'm just about to order the 2023 v4s model. (Can't afford the SP2). LOVED the video. Sub'd you. 👍 🏴
You're gonna absolutely love it, they are brilliant! Thanks for the Sub! I got a bunch more stuff coming up!
@KDPcycles I do love it. I test rode one last week for over 2 hours. I had a super modified 1098s streetfighter and sold it 4 years ago. This is the perfect replacement for Scottish roads. Look forward to more videos. You laughing into your helmet every 10 seconds speaks volumes about this bikes capability. 👍
It's worth it to .001% of riders
How is the dry clutch managing the heat, i found pretty good deal on sp2 and my only concern is the dry clutch for daily ride, i do like the rattling because it means the cars will notice me more thus i am safer 🤣
That's the kinda logic I can get behind! Honestly it's not too bad, I don't notice any extra heat. Honestly the exhaust is what starts radiating, hoping an aftermarket pipe will solve some of that
@@KyleDPatton to be honest i never tried dry clutch before, and my question is asked because of all those who tried the dry clutch and said that heat is much more than wet clutch, but as long as you don’t notice it that much is great news.
@@TIMHARTTT I would say it bakes you as much as you would expect it to. It's a Ducati, and it will emit some heat, but it's worth every bit of sweat you'll give.
Well I finally found an SP2 that was inbound to a dealership in Tampa that had not been spoken for and put a deposit on it. Should be here mid October they said!
Love to hear it!!! You are going to love it! Congratulations on the bike!
I thought the run in period dictates a max of 7k RPM for 600 miles. Do you ignore that and have your own run in recommendations?
@philatkinson1983 I think the manually actually states 9k. It's fine to ride the bike like normal and even get on it, you just wanna avoid revving the tits off of it until you have the rings seated and the cams run in. That happens pretty quick.
@@PleadTheFifth_Racing says 7k in my v4S manual which is why the rev guage flashes yellow. Just thought you may have different preferences as I'm not experienced running in bikes
@philatkinson1983 sounds like following the manuals recommendations is your best option. I've got 6k trouble free miles on my SP2 and they are hard riding miles for the most part.
I have those gloves. 👌🏻 they are so good
How many miles do you have on it now? Have you replaced the dry clutch plates yet?
I've got over 4,000 miles on it, 90% of them track miles. I swapped the clutch plates at 3,000 miles
What did that cost to do?
@@theperipateticgumshoe9047 The parts were around $300. I did the labor myself
@@KyleDPattonNice. You should record a video of how to do that. Where did you order the plates from?
@@theperipateticgumshoe9047 recording is done and easy.... It's the editing I need to get down. Video will be on the way in time
