lpslover28 She could actually sing, Britney is a power house vocal. But she changed her vocal register to be more accepted on mainstream. (i.e one way to for her to become a Pop Princess). She wouldn't achieve that title, the title she have always wanted with her deep power vocals. To be honest, she could sing way better than Christina. I'm not starting a fan war but it's the truth. And the only reason why Britney lip sync on her stage performance are because it's hard for her to copy that high pitch register while dancing her ass off. Watch her sing in ballad live. You'll just realize how powerful and beautiful Britney's voice truly are.

Seriously? People are still accusing her of not singing this song? You've obviously never heard her early music and her lesser known songs with very little production and effects added to her voice. This is what she really sounds like, she is much better in a lower key. She just stopped using her signature "baby" voice because she left the label that kept forcing her to sing only with that.

To me this song is about a boy who has an ex and a girlfriend, but the current girlfriend feels/knows that he isn't completely over his ex. "I know you got history, but I'm your girlfriend. Which could mean that even though its really just the 2 of them in the room, "Sometimes it feels like there's three of us in here." meaning his mind is else where and she believe he's thinking about his ex.
