Really loved how this kit turned out in the end. I think the blue on the psycho frame came out beautifully, it has that metallic shimmer that really suits the pieces imo.
the blue is convincing , so no worries Zach!!!!!! nice kit as usual, soon hopefully you'll see some of mine, just saving up for a new camera to be able to do reviews and unboxings etc.....
My right hand up to Tomino, one of the first things I said when I saw this marvel of art was "Man, I love that he put that on a marble block base!" Like... In all seriousness, you fooled me with how realistic that top patch of marble looks!
I think the psychoframe looks good. About as good as you can get without it being colored clear plastic. I did a spray out of some gaia fluoros over some diff silvers for diff effects. (Wish I could post pics here 🙄) I recently did a Quanta Dark Matter build and had to repaint all the clear green GN condensers to look like pink Condensers and I think it came out effectively.
Definitely looks regal. Maybe it's just that I'm used to the psycho frame being clear that a solid blue kinda takes away from it but I like how ut turned out overall
I'm new to gunpla and I haven't seen any of the various anime series or movies since Gundam Wing on Toonami when I was a kid. Can anyone explain this particular mobile suit to me? I've seen some reviews for the HG Narrative Gundam C packs that highly recommend it, but to me it looks just like the Unicorn Gundam. I already plan on getting the RG full armor unicorn, is there a reason I should still get this one too?
Maybe if you coat the psycoframe with clear aurora, like maybe mr.crystal color amethyst will make it better...maybe 😅 Anyway what do you use for top coating that gold pigment color?
-ZakuAurelius: After all I am happy with the result at the end wait, I think I am forgoting something important... - Armored Komodo :Am I joke to you? Still a great work.
Maybe a chameleon or color shifting blue would have looked better, but it looks great as is! Edit: also I never liked the narrative gundam that much, but this custom is almost enough to convince me to pick up one
@@ZakuAurelius but have you tried applying topcoat on chromaflair? I've seen there's a chromaflair sealer to seal it before topcoating, but I'm wondering what will be the effect of a topcoat on chromaflair without the sealer
Choochoo Dino I personally enjoy the Inca blue as is. I think the more flat poping blue works better to contrast the reflective gold than a metallic blue would.
The gold is so shiny that Emperor of Mankind enlist this unit as an Adeptus Custode
This! Godly comment!
Revan Rushardi Golden Custodes humanoid titan when?
Lol looking at these videos for this. Gunpla and Hobby Train people sometimes get things we miss.
Zach you're a beast. This is really clean. Love how the gold came out. I need to try those pigments.
Thanks dude! Yeah get you some they’re pretty fun
DAMN Zak! that psycho-frame is incredible! and congrats on the marble!
It looks awesome! The Metalic-ish blue looks just right!
Personally I prefer Psycho-Frame parts to be colored clear over a slightly metallic base but this looks good to.
Couldn't do that with this kit, the psycho frame only comes in red right?
@@rumilb correct
@@rumilb That is why you paint over it in a silver metallic before you put on the colored clear.
Onion Ring ah I think I misunderstood your original comment gotcha
@@rumilb I did as well

This looks awesome!! Great job on that gold !! The color scheme makes the Mobile suit look like an Egyptian warrior!!
This looks much better than the pink psycho frame

Currently I've only tried Armored Komodo lacquer-based basic paints and chameleon colors. Your Phenex Narrative Unicorn looks really awesome!

i can see the two tone gold, which is the regular yellowish gold and the gold with a greenish tint, unless my computer screen is playing tricks on me.
I see that too and thanks for pointing that out cause I would've never noticed if I didn't see your comment.
You’re right about the color tint of the gold!
For the psycho frame maybe can try using white base and fluoroscent blue. It will react to uv light hopefully.
If you look at the blue psycho frame as a part of the color scheme and not as psycho frame, it kinda works. 🤔
Definitely looks regal. Maybe it's just that I'm used to the psycho frame being clear that a solid blue kinda takes away from it but I like how ut turned out overall
My opinion it looks freaking awesome
24k gold
YES...
i notice the psychoframes too much blue colors on it or not....
That is a very respectable gold finish

That blue looks sweet to me.
I don't know, but something's kinda off, maybe the blue. But I like what you did there. At first I thought it was the Phenex stripped off with armor.
-ZakuAurelius: After all I am happy with the result at the end wait, I think I am forgoting something important...

Still a great work.
Knight of Gold C-Packs
Love it! That looks great!
Akatsuki: A Worthy opponent.
Dude! This looks dope as fuck. I want it.
I think it would have had better color separation if you had used bronze or copper as the alternative color, but it looks pretty good otherwise. 👍
Love it, the gold is so nice but gotta get some clear psychoframe
I could be wrong .How U.V. reactive is that blue? Maybe this is just waiting to have a bulb pointed at it in a diorama?
It’s floro paint so it’ll light up big time
Honestly, until you said it, I thought the base was really marble. Beautiful build and base.
Awesomeness!!!!
Narrative Phenex

is it able to have a glossy coat or mirror glossy finish at the gold?
Is it possible to paint the underside of the clear parts metallic and or chrome and then cover the surface side with clear color coats?
Should have done a candy coat on the psycho frame
Wow, this Matte finish on the non-gold parts looks REALLY distinct right next to the shiny Gold.
What top-coat is that?
Mr.Color Flat Clear!
Yooo this is beautiful
Phenex gold done right
Woah. that does not look like an HG kit after you painted it :O
Did you applied topcoat on chromaflair? Hope you answer this. Thanks
No

This is Magnamon isn't it
I hope one day we get a complete version of this Gundam
The complete version is called the Nu Gundam. This is the prototype for that Mobile Suit and was never meant to be used for combat.
Isn't this after Nu?
@@pcelis19 The Narrative appeared in combat after the Nu but was built before it as a prototype unit meant for collecting data.
@@muisverriet wow, thanks :D
That is sick..
What top coat should we use with this?
I would have gone with a metallic blue over the “Inca” blue I think is what you called it? But other than that. It looks great! 👍
Choochoo Dino I personally enjoy the Inca blue as is. I think the more flat poping blue works better to contrast the reflective gold than a metallic blue would.
Can you apply waterslide decals on the gold before top coating it?
It looks like if king midas piloted a mobile suit
sheesh. water based. are the komodo lacquers so toxic?
Did you top coat the gold parts? If so, with gloss or matte?
No I didn’t
is really good not bad
I love your work, is cool
What paint and color do you use for the gun and inner frame?
Just gray, I forget which shade exactly but one with a slight blue tint because I knew there would be blue psychoframe as well
Are there any kits that I can mess around with like an action figure after assembly?
HGUC RX-78 2 revive
Or the MG Jesta and HG F-91
MG Jegan. He's rock solid.
Mmmh spicy
This shield is big, this Shield is like supersonic god 🤣🤣 what supersonic god 🤣🤣🤣🤣
i don’t like the shade of gold
