I remember one time in the warm up pen I asked Lee " Hey, what did you draw." He says "A picture of a turkey with my hand." That guy is one of a kind and has a great sense of humor.

Sorry to see you heading out the door, Bruce. It is always a good sign when your boss doesnt want you to leave and lets you know you are welcome back. Even better sign when you get to go to the bus station instead of the train station. I guess Teeter isnt on your spread so he has to go looking for her. #Lookig4Teeter

Omg 2 of my favorite horses... Perla but esp Kamikaze.... I know your horses are bred with a purpose but what do you do if they just do not make the Reining cut. I know a lot of Reining horses that made excellent barrel racers...

Something I've always wondered. When the horses are in cross ties or in the wash stall, etc. (specifically Rocky - The brother you showed) why are their heads tied so high? Is there a reason they're higher versus lower for them to relax? I noticed that when they're tied in the stalls also their heads are tied higher than normal. Just genuinely curious! Love the videos :)

Makes it easier to move around the horse while grooming and tacking up. You are not clotheslining yourself while carrying a heavy Western saddle.

@@stacymartinanimalartist I could see that when grooming, but when they’re tied in the stall waiting to be ridden they are high as well.

love your channel and tips for sure! but I cannot wrap my head around riding 2 yo horses since they are still in growth, not sure about the overall health in a long run of them (23+ years) it's might be the industry, similar to race horses but with way better treatment in general. I hope they just don't follow the money (2 yo perfomance classes pay big time!) and have longevity in mind and start them easy until they're mature enough

@@mattmillsreining1 One of my friends had a beautiful paint out of that (general) line! And my riding instructor had his half brother. They looked so similar to Kamikaze. My friend's horse especially looks like yours--I did a double-take at first. Both of the horses that I know from that line have that gorgeous bald face too. My friend's horse was born deaf, but my instructor's horse had at least partial hearing. They were both super sweet horses. I came to the comments to see if you had mentioned the sire because they looked so similar (and because of the hereditary deafness). :)

WTH are YOU doing riding a 2 yr. old? You're WAAAAY too heavy for her spine.
Are you trying to create KISSING SPINE, needing surgery, by the time she's 8 yrs old??? Do some research bro. Even 4 to 6 yr. olds need to be handled carefully. WTF?
