I m not stuck to any brand but have the BFG on my LR Puma. I have no problem with them although the tread took a hammering on Namibian bad roads. What I can say is the sidewall is very strong and I ran them at 0.6 Bar when crossing the Namib with no problems. At 1 Bar the Tyre doesn’t even bulge. Thanks for the video👍

Thank you for the feedback. I have heard that @getoutgo also had problems with the tread during a Namibian trip. Which part of Namibia did you travel to? Where was your tyres manufactured? (USA or Thailand). Thanks for watching.

Thanx for the review nice simple and informative. Agree tires are a very debatable
subject. Ive experienced three different makes on my Disco td5 manual now just under 350,000kms. . Original were Michelin which gave me approximately 40,000km on a set. Had no real problem with them even in bad off-rod conditions. I tried Bridgestone and only got just over 30,000km per set and numerous punctures. Finally I'm now on BFGoodrich KO2"s and already i've done over 60,000kms and my prediction with the remaining tred I should get over 100,000 kms on this set. (one puncture to date) Regular tire rotation, I believe does help prolong tire life too. I drive both off road on some very poor dirt roads like areas on the Wild Coast as well as through Namibia/Botswana etc through mud/soft sand/and dry/wet tarmac. Have as yet not experienced any problems with the KO2's and will most likely replace them with the same again. I was concerned with the performance in wet weather on tar but so far have been impressed and sure ABS has helped on that front as well.(three sets of Bridgestone's will probably cost more than one set of KO2's). So from my personal point of view I agree with all said in the video.

People are quick to badmouth a product.
1 buy the right tyre if you like speeding on black top and in wet conditions.
2 Because you install a aftermarket larger diameter and wider tyre and rim the more the reason to check your suspension and shock for even ware on tread
3 i use the BF Goodrich on my hard sprung work trailer and tow vehicle because i can drop the pressures with a big load for comfort without any problem with trailer and tow vehicle swaying in any direction.

Lots of reports of the lack of traction in the wet with them, I have however seen them do well traction wise while still new.

Yes, therefore I share my experience with them. Maybe because I dont drive it like a race car? Even on a skid pan did not have any issues.

Great review! I have been looking into this brand for a while now. Maxxis looks good too. I would also be keen to try them out

@@4WheelingSA Currently running Federal Couragia M/T 35x12.50 R17. Has been phenomenal in all offroading situations. Had for a few years now. Like you, looking for a lighter tyre without compromising off road strength

So an update. We have fitted GoodYear Duratracs on our rig now. It’s honestly a great tyre. Great tar grip and not noisy at all. It has aggressive lugs for mid too

These tires are trash, I've had 2 sidewall blow outs in less than a year, one at 15mph and the second in the cold in my driveway.

Luckily mine have not done it yet. I do have a lot of sidewall cuts. What tyre pressure do you use? What did you replace them with?
