My last trip to Vegas was January, 2022 and I stayed at Bally's and they were just starting the rebranding to the Horseshoe. The room I stayed in looked just like the one you showed. Sad to see the sportsbook replaced with an obnoxious arcade.
Totally and completely unimpressed with the changes. Maybe the rooms are better but the colors are crap and lots of stuff needs some serious maintenance. In the days when it was first opened as the MGM Grand, you first walked in to the raised entrance and looked out over the glorious red cacino with magnificent chandeliers and beautiful walls and carpeting and it would literally take your breath away. Bally's didn't do shit with it after the fire and Horseshoe has probably made it even worse again. Totally boring and crap colored carpeting and paint and the layout in the casino is totally unimaginative. And the silly golf and arcade don't belong in a major casino in Las Vegas. Not a chance I would ever even consider staying there and probably will never go gamble there either. Terrible job of improving a place that at one time was a true treasure on the strip and is now something they just need to turn in to a pile of rubble and dump it on top of that junk yard out in front of it.

Great video as always Bob. There I started off positive on this one. As far as so-called "New" (lol) Horseshoe goes, they should fire their interior architects. No spots book = no bueno. That typical over huge arcade will have as many customers in it all year long as you see in this video. Imo it was stupid of them to get rid of the sports book. But better to save money they don't have to hire anyone for any bars or people to take bets now and that is cheap. I like Mum's new title of this place it's more fitting. The ONLY thing this place has that is cool is that Twilight Zone Golf. Sorry, you asked what I thought. This is how a CHEAP Company redoes rooms. They fake it with lame new plastic. Ok, now I'll stop my crapping on this dump. And I like to keep most my comments positive. Oh well, so much for that one. LOL Great review though of the new/old MGM/Ballys/Horsepee. LOL 😁😄
That red wallpaper has been at the Ballys for years... I remember that from years ago.. None of that was remodeled. I think there are Horseshoe re modeled rooms, but you didnt get one..

The rooms were renovated 4 years ago while it was still Ballys. Nothing was done to the rooms when they switched to Horseshoe.

The sportsbook is right off the casino at the walkway to Paris. Better location, but less big
