In this video, I'm joined by Isle of Wight resident, Jim Wood, and introduce Jim to hunting Grey Squirrels. On the Isle of Wight, there are no Greys, just the Red Squirrel. We will also be testing out a new scope too - Спорт

As ir happens I may have to come to Surrey next month to sort out family issues pard, but unfortunately, it looks like I will be coming on the bike, so I can't get my rifle on board as well 😂 but I haven't forgot your pasties just not been near the place for a while but I will get them to e pard

I was surprised Jim got any...he held the perfect aim for 10 seconds until the squirrel buggered off.
In Jim’s defence, there was so much activity going on out of your view that was causing both of us to change our minds on when to shoot. Do we just shoot the one, or go for a double shot?
Not easy but often frustrating for the viewer at home, but that’s as real as it gets.

Thanks very much matey , I was talking to a viewer in Canada this morning that had his hip replacement surgery on the 31st January. He’s doing well and is following doctors orders to the word.
I’ve got a trip planned for tonight, and again to the Forest with the lucky winner on Friday, then that’s me all finished until at least May.

Jim it’s my pleasure matey, always happy to take someone out, they just need to speak up.
It’s interesting though to get the clever remarks from world class snipers that can shoot much better than anyone else, they’ve been to better places , made longer shots , and always have successful trips out with stacks of excellent head shots within seconds of each other 😀😀😀
I wish they would come and show us how to do it the right way ????
@predatorprotectionuk I know what you mean mate but the way I look at it is I've not shot at squirrels before and the fact we were only 22 yards away and having to wait until they stand still because they are jumping around all over the place instead of being 200 or 300 yards out and sat in a field not moving which is the more challenging shot? The one where I took ages to shoot you did actually say we were trying to get one each at the same time. Still we enjoyed it and that's all that matters.

Perhaps the rifles could be cocked before filming the taking aim, its more annoying to see a steadied scope then all the jerking around, because the pellet hasn't been cycled into 5he breach.

@@predatorprotectionuk Hey David, don’t know if you’re getting this but I’m doing well. The surgery went great with no complications. Took the pain meds to relieve some pain but some of the strong stuff was making me anxious and depressed so I’m getting by with asa for if I get blood clots and Tylenol if needed. Otherwise doing the light and floor exercises physiotherapy recommended, that was brutal at first but getting more flexible and movement each day. So, so far my friend I’m doing good 👍 hope you get this 👍🇨🇦
