Found myself nodding without knowing when you said to never have sugar in tea! sugar to tea is like stablisers to a bike!! Also I think you'll find that my mum makes the best roast potatoes... she boils them, shakes them in the pot to 'texurise' them and then roasts them off smothered in butter!!
My mums are better . She boils the potatoes , uses a fork to make them extra fluffy . Heats up a load of fat for an hour before putting the potatoes in the oven and they're heavenly .
