I’m American and used to think the us sacrificed so much to defeat hitler but after reading a lot about ww2 I now know how brutal the eastern front was. The us lost 400k in all of ww2. The Russians lost three times that in just one battle(Stalingrad) the western from was a picnic compared to the east. Idk why I never learned that in school. I was taught the Americans saved the world lol

Capitalist ideology in the form of American exceptionalism. All across ocidental world we are made to believe USA's and UK's contribution was much bigger than it really was (although It was essential), while concealing USSR's effort. This was made specially through mass media: documentaries and Hollywood films, generally centered around the so called D Day.

It was near unsignificant amount given the colosal scale of eastern front. The only good measure of help was the sending of american trucks in 1943 which helped soviet logistics. Also lend lease was comming in semi decent numbers at after kursk when germans where on full retreat. I love how americans always gotta pretend as if soviet union wasnt winning the war and only their lend lease and western front did that lol. Nope nazis where at full retreat and complely defeated when west started helping out. The lend lease just helped to save more lives and end the war faster.

Quit repeating the completely baseless BS about the Soviet military "raping billions of German women". Learn some actual history of the period for a change. Russian soldiers were quite strictly prohibited from committing any atrocities toward German civilians. And that was also very strictly enforced. Aside from the fact that Russian soldiers were mostly looking forward to ending that horrific war, they were also tired, so any raping of local German women was absolutely not on their minds.
Do your fact checking first before sounding off publicly, dear Sam.
