The enemy wants us to have low self esteem and not take care of the temple(our bodies) so that we walk around gloomy not drawing anyone to the kingdom. God created beauty, just take a look at the evidence. All the varieties of flowers, butterflies and birds. He created colors and every evening He paints the sky with the sunset. Nature is evidence that He loves beauty “for you are fearfully and wonderfully made” he took pride in making us beautiful. Stay humble but also take care of the temple 💖💖 watch this video next: Spiritual Gifts! How to identify yours & use it purposefully..

But why does one have to put all of this fake stuff on top of what TMH God has naturally given us? Why add all of the makeup, weave, etc? Why does a woman need to put someone else's glory on top of her own to feel beautiful? I'm not saying don't take care of yourself but, is that not a form of conforming to the world? Doing what man or this world thinks is beautiful? What about the following scripture in reference to Jesus?
      Isaiah 53:2 KJV
[2] For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

I understand this very different Taking care is you take care, stay healthy, dress good solid clothes.
The other thing is self-marketing. Where it's not necessary to do it, but you can. And its all different stylings from hair, makeup nails, dressing to beauty operations.
God wants us to look good I agree with that, but not in adding fakeex things or showing too much.

@@indy_Jimagine if Jesus looked like King David or Solomon who the bible explicitly states were attractive men. It would have been a mess.💀 The women who ministered to him would have been questioned regarding their motives! There is an extra layer of power that attractive men hold that we don't discuss because men are not considered the fairer sex but those who have that blessing end up dealing with the natural inclination of sexual attraction. Jesus had enough problems with the children of Israel. God spared him the lust factor.

God also gave Job the three most BEAUTIFUL daughters in all of the land. The key is not to become so caught up on your beauty that you take pride in it. The devil was one of God's most beautiful angels, and he took pride in that. That's one of the things that led to his downfall.

So why can’t I be mad or frustrated with God asking Him why He didn’t make me sooo beautiful? If God knows that this society is superficial, why would He make some people extremely beautiful and other people not beautiful?! What’s the point of living if God did not make you so attractive?

If a woman chooses to do so, good. But why so much contempt for those of us who let go?? Do you think at 65, your makeup, botox, skincare, is going to make you look any better than a 65 year old living in the amazon?? Leave us alone. Be satisfied with whatever attention you get from the males and leave other women ALONE.

Recently a school of swans swam super close to me in my backyard (full of water). As a city girl, it was a surreal experience and in that moment I understood that God is THE true artist and brings beauty like this to the world. All of this is to say that maybe beauty is not something to shame or destroy with but to celebrate and treasure in everything we see 💖💖

I became less vain when I started to focus more on adorning myself well. I gained weight in my undergraduate years, I became so self absorbed, always looking in the mirror, felt self conscious, and felt more attention seeking because I didn’t feel attractive. But when I decided to exercise more and eat healthy, my body changed and I became less vain. I no longer feel the need to look in the mirror multiple times a day, or to see how my body is looking. Adorning yourself well (while pursuing Godliness) is good for your self esteem.

I used to be so beautiful and I say this with all humility. I remember when I was about 14, I told God to take it away from me because I was getting too much unwanted attention, and He did. I have now repented for rejecting his gift and i am open to getting it back. I see it returning and this time, over a decade later, I will use it to His glory because I did not create myself, he is the artiste, and I'm just His painting/Creation/Work.

I use to bit my nails when I was stressed and that is frowned upon in the area of my profession. So, I prayed and I remembered how much I loved walking when I was younger. Now, when I am stressed, I go for a walk. 2 miles a day.
Its good for my body and kerping my stress at bay. Plus, I get to listen to music or an audio book for 40 minutes. My nails are healthy amd looking good now, I moisturise my hand alot at work and I always keep a nail filer with me where ever I go in case my nails break or tug at something. I now take pride in my nails and professionals love healthy nails on both men and women.
My manager gets his nails done every 6 weeks with his wife!

We were discussing the Lord and he said one day he was asking God some questions.
Shortly after that two pretty girls caught his attention.
They all began to talk and the young ladies kindly began to minister to him.
He took it as a confirmation from the Lord about his doubts but he knew God understood how to get his attention.

Modesty is not just how many inches long your skirt is. It’s doing anything that says “look at me”, excessively drawing attention to your physical appearance/mannerisms. A few examples: tight clothing that shows off your shape (even if it’s long), heavy makeup, glamorous hairstyles, taking a lot of photos of yourself, etc… we will all have different convictions about these things but the Bible says that modesty draws attention to your inner beauty, not what’s on the outside. Ask yourself if you could share the Gospel in what you’re wearing. Ask yourself, truly, if it conveys the right message.

This is an EXCELLENT video. Until humans become more enlightened, we will judge by appearances first.
If someone isn’t a “classic beauty” or just “regular and average”, the trick is to enhance the best features and hide the worst features. A good example of this is Sandra Bernhard. She was considered a “sex symbol”, but she didn’t have an attractive face. Why? She counterbalanced her less-than-ideal facial looks with a stunningly perfect figure that men found EXTREMELY attractive. If you see the candid shots of celebrities without makeup, the majority of these celebrities are average joes or plain janes. They know how to use makeup, hair, and clothing to make them look beautiful.
I compare it to fruit. Unless someone knows this, fruit is at its sweetest when it is slightly overripe, and when the fruit is slightly overripe, it doesn’t look the best. That fruit gets marked down or thrown out. The fruit that people buy is the most colorful, the shiniest, and the brightest - even if it’s not at its peak ripeness or ideal taste.

I thinned out, got a therapist, went to a dermatologist,...found my nail, eyebrow and hair lady. I never cared for about my looks more than I have now. I never thought to look at looks because my personality carried me for a while. What I learned as well is that when you work on your inner world, it also benefits your outward appearance. People will just want to be around you because your attractive. Men and women. Also ladies be mindful as she mentioned the puffy face. When your gaining/losing and in the gym, pay attention to how it impacts your facial features. I was at my peak 135, curvy as well. However, my face was so fat and I ended up dropping wait and my face thinned, still had a lil booty but my figure still looked good in clothes. Everybody is not supposed to be BBL bodies. Change your figure off of what looks and feels good to you. The old money aesthetic is my favorite because I went to a high school that wore uniform. I love uniformity and it requires less thinking. I am an intern, student and worker. I 100% agree with this

I agree, Karine. I battle depression and I know when I’m getting depressed when I stop caring about my appearance. I know that I’m sinking further the worse it gets. How you keep yourself and your surroundings matter to God and it shows how much you value the fearfully and wonderfully made being He made. Love this. 💜

I knew of this at a younger age because the woman in my family were raised to dress well because as African Americans we had to look the part to get the "good jobs" or admittance to certain event and even back in the 80 and 90s dressing up to go out to a restaurant was a norm. Nowadays it just depends on the person. Society has changed the norm of what is defined beautifully. I say let's go back to those traditions of stepping up and showing up

This was a difficult message for me. I’m not the most attractive person in the world, and people have let me know this fact on more than one occasion 🤣🤣🤣🤣, but I think I also played into that idea of just accepting im ugly. I think I like using it as a crutch so when things fail or don’t go my way it’s like oh well we know it’s because of the way you look. So I think glowing up sometimes is scary because I can no longer use the excuse of appearance if things don’t work out.

I LOVE being uniquely me, without looking like a “template” of someone else. Simple grooming and hygiene is a small act of self-care and self-love. Merci mon amour!🫶🏽

My looks are something I’ve shied away from. I do get a lot of compliment but it’s awkward for me. I’m aware of what I look like but I don’t want it to dominate who I am inside so I shy away from it. But I’m gifted with fashion, I say this with all humility but I’m definitely gifted with a great sense of style. I do get a lot of attention from that but it can make me uncomfortable. I guess I’ll start to embrace my gifts, looks, and use it for GOD’S glory.

I don’t mean to be pick apart or hyper focus in on one part of your video, because there is alot of truth in what your saying. But I want us to be cautious and conscious of the fact that there is a lot about our appearance that is out of our control. People walking around with Acne don’t want acne, and I guarantee you they are the most hygienic about their skin vs those that don’t suffer with the condition. Let’s not equate beauty or being “well kept” with superficial beauty standards.
    Proverbs 31:30 says “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
Maintenance the body Yah gave you with proudness and put your trust in him, he will take care of the rest.

When u do all these things you become way more attractive or beautiful. That was my take away.😊😊😊
