The thing is x.3 is usually the closing patch of the current expansion with x.4 being the start of the pre-story of the next expansion. However, with the next expansion being a completely new story who the heck knows? I do hope Zero comes with us to the next story.

They already said this is not going to be the case this time. We might see the next expansion buildup in 6.5 at the earliest.

They stated before endwalker even released that endwalker story closes within the main patch (so 6.0).we ARE already in the new story
