I love the fact that the kids these days, for the most part, aren’t ashamed to shop at thrift stores. I think that with the high prices of clothing in retail stores it is making them realize that they can get the same quality for a more affordable price at a thrift store. It’s a great way of thinking for them as they get older. 😊

I do have a thrift store at my senior center and believe me I've bought so many things at a price you wouldnt imagine. All things are $1 and we had a .50¢ sale recently. I got Holiday things for all 3 major Holidays. Check your local senior center. They are usually open to the public too. Mine is you did score on clothes and your daughter too. So many baskets. TYFS

The later part of the week is tough at Goodwills! A lot of buyers go earlier in the week and clear out the sale items. THEN, the stores start pulling the items with the colored tags of the week. It's best to go earlier in the week I think

My Goodwill bins is much smaller, not nearly as many bins but I love to go there. I don’t go often and I always wear gloves! My regular Goddwill had really sparse shelves the first couple of weeks in January and they went to 2 colors, one 50 % off and the other 75% off. I haven’t been super impressed because what I want is usually not on sale. I did find a Hobby Lobby $99.99 winter painting for $10.99 ( it was unmarked and the worker put that price on it for me -Score!) The shelves are fuller now.

I find that the church or hospice or organization thrift stores are a lot better than goodwill. The prices at goodwill have gotten really high. St vincent DePaul is also more reasonably priced than goodwill.
It does have quite a bit of things, however most of it it either broken or not what I’m looking for. I do like the layout of the store . It makes it a bit easier to shop for what I need. 😊

I'm in Central Arizona in the mountain area and there's three goodwills in our area. Here's what I've noticed and this goes for the other thrift stores as well, I'm not seeing any furniture, it's like it all disappeared... The shelves are definitely empty and one of the ones I went to the other ones were very expensive. Some of the prices are putting on stuff is outrageous so I don't know it's going on with this free donations at Goodwill gifts and why there's no furniture or if they're funneling it somewhere else somebody please let me know.
I hsve noticed that too! We have Idaho Youth Ranch thrift stores her in Idaho that are more reasonable, and the profit stays in state so I go there more often.
I’m not really sure what is happening with the pricing. I think it’s a hit and miss on the furniture in different areas. If you are looking for furniture maybe try a Habitat for Humanity Restore if you have one near you, Facebook Marketplace or yard/estate sales.
Said you were gonna start collecting mount letters for Christmas and you've been to 2 thrift stores and you passed up the letters. The one had three metal red ones that were the same size as the first that you picked, at which was a m I guess you're not thinking or maybe you just decide you're not gonna do that now, how's

Goodwill is messing up what they’ve had for years to be good. they’ve jacked up the price have less things and less unique things of quality. it seems our free donation items have turned into money, making for them not really helping the public as much as before.
