How to set the address on a Silent Knight SD505-PHOTO smoke detector

In this video, I demonstrate how to set the address on a Silent Knight SD505 smoke detector. This method will work for the heat detectors as well.

Can you also use a hand held programmer to program these? I know normal hochiki can

What happens if you replace the smoke detector without programming it. Would still work?

@ well you need to address the detector via the programmer as if you don’t do that, the address will be zero on the detector and do nothing
