I love when you guys find a place like this it makes you two giddy like kids in a candy store. Also love when Andy gets back at Matt. Matt whining "give me a torch" and Andy's evil smile. Haha
Hey Guys, Andy was on Fright Club the other nite. It was a clip of Andy in a old building and a scary dark shadow moved in the clip. Jack Osborne and The Ghost Brothers are the hosts! I'm so Happy for Matt and Andy! Love from America 🕊️🙏🎆✌️💜🇺🇲 PS. Can't wait to Watch your video on Sunday at 3 am California time Love you Two! ✌️💜🦖🇺🇲
Places that old would have had Menageries - a collection of wild animals kept in captivity for exhibition. To show how high of status they were. That would explain all the different cages. Amazing Explore Guys!
This was an amazing explore. Im obsessed with tudor history, and the original parts of the building totally took my breath away. I am desperate to know who the original owner was, who was beheaded. And also the name of the building. What a wonderful place, so much history.
@19:51, The fiber on the wall is burlap which is made from jute plants. It was used because it's strong, durable, resistant to heat, static, and water seepage, and even easy to dye in colors. "Grata Quies" is Latin for "welcome rest." As always, thanks for the laughs.
I renovated a house in Richmond back in 1999 which was built in 1780 had cloth wall covering which was 100% silk, my labourer was about rip it of the walls but luckily I stopped him as it was in a really good condition and was worth a lot money. Houses built in those times had either bare brick, plastered and painted walls or cloth.
The Latin above the door is part of the old proverb: “Grata quies post exhaustum laborem” - which could be interpreted as - “After hard work, a good rest is enjoyable”.
Amazing and almost wsh it hadn't been divided so weirdly. There's a place in Lexington Massachusetts called Eastover , they rent rooms provide absolutely wonderful foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner . Provided live music and fun entertainment. The grounds were huge and offered lots also but this place would be a great get away for such goings on and making money . Love this place it's definitely the best I have ever seen .
My God! I’d love to live there! Not that I could afford the utilities much less the upkeep! What an amazing castle!!! Gorgeous!!! 31:34 probably raised the floor for the plumbing maybe? 🤔 Thank you for showing us!
Can’t believe you were literally just around the corner from where I live , this house was once owned by someone who collected unusual birds , also had a menagerie, it was open to the public until early 1990 s . It has the most stunning parkland, it’s currently on the market for 7.5 million
@Eve tadhunter Lilford Hall..not sure why they try to keep it secret, I love watching these guys but the , " we have to keep this place secret so people dont trash it.." attitude is a bit tiresome, why is it alright for them to trespass and have a look around, but no one else can ? .
@@woodand Sadly it gives the location away for people who like to steal stuff and trash the place... Also the place will end up with security and it will be sealed, so people that want to take a look can't... Perhaps I can do some filming there... Currently researching... Lovely place by the looks of it.
You need to do Hayton gall.. in Brampton Cumbria. I've stayed there a few times when it was owned by family friends. Lots of spooky history..druids..drowning.. its a huge estate..set back from the main road..has a vast woodlands with lakes. Definitely a place for expolring❤
What a beautiful place when can I move in and the carvings on the first fireplace weren’t carrots lol they were horns of plenty. Another brilliant video x
Hi boys... great place absolutely brilliant x so gorgeous.... the material is for bed covers, curtains ,table cloths x also servants uniforms.... large households had a good supply of materials, laces cottons etc... brilliant find guys....

Amazing Building, Great explore. You both are so much fun to listen to and watch. Thanks for the laughs, history. Many Blessings from Northwest Florida, USA. Also known as "The panhandle".
That hall 53:00 in looks like a Tudor banqueting hall...I reckon you're right, the stone supports are for a banqueting table...the master of the house must've been sitting at their own table atop the stage...above everyone else.
That was extremely interesting not only very historic and gorgeous but clean. Exploring placed with rat poo and deep clutter makes me sick. This beautiful grand home was a wonderful look into a 500 year old past that in itself is amazing. Thank you Andy and Matt for taking us along on this explore 😀
I would liked to have known the history of this magnificent place. Is it a listed property? Was it a hotel? The stone mullions are gorgeous, and the brickwork and panelling is just amazing. We really knew how to build homes long ago. Can you imagine the cost of hiring craftsman to do this work now? It’d cost a fortune. Let’s hope no vandals can find this place, and hopefully it’ll be secured to save it from any future damage.
That was the most amazing building, the best I think. I loved how excited you both got as you walked into those incredibly beautiful rooms. They are so beautiful they Took my breath away . I hope and pray this building is saved . Thanks for taking us on this incredible journey of rooms and corridors. ❤
20:00 min. the holes in the walls look like someone was looking for treasure there . I think there are still secret rooms in this house that nobody has discovered yet!
The room TS 37:56 looks like it would have had a statue in the cubby hole where you thought it was odd. In videos in France, the rooms where the servants stayed, that same setting by a window actually had original religious statue and a small brown box. In the room was a single bed, and usually baby bassinet or baby cradle, a fireplace and really no place built in for clothes. Some had original wardrobes yet. Those places were dating back to the 1600s
Watching Sunday morning with a mega cuppa tea and some yogurt with granola. Boy oh boy does the heat make you both cranky! Bickering over cupboards and torches, had me in stitches, you’re like a married couple!😂😂 The manky carrots are cornucopias. I loved it when Andy put Matt in the dark after nagging him, was funny and even got Matt to giggle. Matt read my mind about the donkey in the hay room! WTF!? Seemed madness to be on second floor of the house. What a crazy home with doors to no where and all that wedge wood type walls and ceilings, like a life size dollhouse. Beautiful and peculiar at the same time! Thanks for another great explore with you. 😘😘

I don't know the name of the place but the owner that was beheaded was Richard Welles, for treason.
Edmund de la Pole was the original owner of this place. Executed 1513.
