Liquid choked again like last year. It’s the same pattern, lost to v1/loud in upper bracket , eliminated by fnc/zeta in lower bracket . I don’t know why people hype them so much b4 the tournament.

This is a great achievement for Japan. SugerZ3ro named L1NK as one of the most admired controllers at the time. Today, he played against the longing player and won. SugerZ3ro is one of the controllers admire all over the world in the future.

Im a TL fan but i cant believe how they always manage to lose easy rounds like bonus etc.. nivera scream and jamppi are always performing decent but the british duo has too much skill sailing.. soulcas was bad during qualifiers and now l1nk.. hope they can fix their issues or then do small roster change.

They are not inconsistent the prblm with liquid is that they have no proper igl that is why they lose that is the main prblm there

Im so glad to see different strats from different regions. Paper rex running the double duelist comp, neon meta, astra meta of zeta, optic no duelisy comp, and many more. The more surprising thing in there is, these strats are most of the time, effective! This makes it more impossible to predict who is going to win.

two teams plays are pretty strainght foward and predictedable , just Zeta is better
Problem list from my perspective :-
1.They need more set up plays like DRX. DRX can neutralize chaotic team like Paperex,
2.The communication is the problem. You can see in the Team liquid YT channel that they don't really have an definite role for IGL and they only give info but not about the next stage of playing. But in G2 comm it's different story. They always plan ahead and execute them.
3.They need new coach who can use the individuality into a proper team game

@@aromalkrishnana2032 There's no guarantee of that sort lol. Xerxia got close to liquid and prx destroyed xerxia in their own circuit. Also drx as a team is far better than prx, they got so close on the first map despite of having tech issues. So I don't see how you can compare drx (or any strong vct team) and fpx when they haven't even played each other.

When zeta won their first match ever, they already broke the jp history for Esports where no team has ever proceeded in an international event. I was already proud but they continue to strive a won against TL, a top EMEA team and has created a new history for jp. I'm excited to what more can zeta bring to this event. I'm very happy and proud for zeta and their nation. APAC is doing very well as well and beat TGRD with their aggro aggressive play. I'm very excited and happy that both regions have stepped up a lot.

Liquid has the potential to be one of the best teams in the world given the quality of their players (Nivera, Jamppi, L1NK) yet they have a coach who doesn't know what the hell he's doing and that's holding them back to their true potential. Hope they make some changes
You just need to out aim TL to win against them coz most of them are brain-dead aimers only, look how ugly their agent play is, especially scream, flashy plays are fine to win couple of rounds, but at this level it is not going to get you any further, even with so much experience you can notice the immaturity in his play.

Disagree with both. Liquid isn't overrated, they're too inconsistent and experimental. And their comps SUCK at times. But if they're all in sync they're easily one of the best teams. You can't judge the Guard yet, they're still young and only played NA teams. Losing to uncanny playing teams like PRX or aggressive Brazilian teams will make them stronger.

Can’t give that much credit to zeta as liquid are supposed to be beaten by any team here, as it is the ‘best of each region’. Liquid played well and has a chance to get further, but they had no expectations coming into this tournament

Yeah that's actually copium. Liquid is still a top team from EU and Japan has been an underperforming region since Valorant pro play started, so this tournament has been a huge achievement for Japan seeing them go farther than they ever have before.
