Transat CIC updates: 27 April

The first regatta of 2024 for Alberto Bona and the Class40 IBSA is a solo ocean crossing, as famous as it is tough: the Transat CIC. The expected mileage from Lorient to New York is 3,500 NM, to be sailed along a Northern route in the Atlantic Ocean, very difficult due to wind, sea and current conditions, and very challenging for all competing classes.
Less than 24 hours left before the start, in the morning the skipper meeting revolutionised the start, “reversing” the course of the vessels with respect to the coast.
During the day, also Giorgio Pisani - IBSA Vice President and leader of the project Sailing into the future. Together - arrived to witness the start of the transoceanic race.
