  • Septa’s Hyundai-Rotem Silverliner 5’s are one of the best MU cars with their flashy colors, rapid acceleration, beautiful K3LA horns, and railfan windows. They are my personal favorites although many other MU car types are noteworthy. Not everyone will agree with my opinion of these cars but it is what it is. To each his own. They are among the favorites from Railfans. First you will see a jazzy musical montage of these dazzling cars, then trackside scenes of these in action, then more trackside scenes accentuating their melodious K3LA horns, and lastly, railfan window scenes on various lines featuring those horns shot in all seasons. One of the cars was fitted with a unique K3L horn. Enjoy the sight and sound of these jazzy greyhounds. I can honestly say that when these cars came around, that’s when I started to develop a slight distaste for the Silverliner 4’s.

I'm amazed by how much you love to travel and come down to Philadelphia. Is Long Island and NYC boring? Anyway thanks for being a good ambassador to our area. I know you're a great phillies fan. The Yankees are playing great this year and the Mets are beginning to look like a wild card team. You need to become an Eagles fan and forget about the Giants and Jets. Happy and safe travels.

I am an Eagles fan!!! I don’t care for the Jets/Giants. I feel that Philadelphia is a home away from home.

You are entitled to your opinion of course. I do like the heritage versions of the SL4’s

The horns do sound a bit symphonic, especially from a distance!

I'm waiting for you to go to Denver and do their Silverliner V's. I wonder how much of a difference there is between the 2.
Next time you do the Bristol area, you need to either take the 128/129 bus or uber over to the Amish market

I’d like to take a trip to Denver sometime. Their silver liners look somewhat alike, but they don’t have rail fan windows and they don’t have low platform capability.

Since you are going to your previous videos. Do you have any videos of the AEM7s before they were retired?
