That's the sign of a true craftsmen there, Paul your a genius!!!! I've been racking my brains trying to figure out just how you done those & left them all so clean. WOW!!!!!! Thanks so much Paul, If I had enough hair I'd have been pulling it out by the roots on this one. LOL!!! Think I banged the wall a couple of times as well. Ha Ha. Can't say enough about that Paul, thank you so much again my friend, now I can sleep at nights again. LOL!!!!
@@Mur-lock68 , No doubt my friend, he's good. Now I know how to change pins & really mess with someone. LOL!!!!! They'll think it's only spools inside & then they can't pick it, Love it. Without a sign one left on the lock anywhere.
Thanks mate. Glad it was of some use. Genius? Not quite mate. I'm probably a couple of rungs higher than a box of rocks. lol. I'll take the compliment anyway. lol. Cheers:-)
Lol! What's wrong with rocks Mate! Cheers my brother, listen it takes great content to keep me interested my friend, seems like every time I tune in,you are answering questions I was beating my skull about the day before so no sugar or butter being used with the "GENIUS" analogy!! Thanks Paul, stay well!
LockPickingLawyer got me into locks and I had no idea how to open these up. Very interesting to see the pins in the sides! I would’ve never known. Good video mate 👍
Very helpful tutorial Paul. That punch will see some good use 👍😁 I like your hammer trick too. If the core is flush, all this time I've been using the key to find the spaces I will def use the hammer to save a bit of time. Thankyou again mate 😁
mate you are just fecken full of gems ! I had been wondering how those cores came out.. thanks for this, and all your other vids mate. Great work and great info. Thanks for sharing, mucho appreicato!
Another video with useful information for the community mate, well done. :) I use my nylon hammer for doing that because im always a little heavy handed with a steel hammer, I used to end up with dents which required too much material removed to hide. For removing the plug i use a steel screw with a tapered point, once screwed in i use a claw hammer to pry it out, placing something like an old key under the hammer to prevent making marks on the lock body when levering. The Ez-Out way is much better, I'm just too cheap to buy one but i definitely will get one in the future. Sometimes i have been lucky in that the bit will catch on the plug and remove it as I'm drilling but it is inconsistent and random. I have also tried the heat and cool method but with no success, the only time i can claim semi-success was when I was able to hit the lock body and extract the plugs with kinetic energy after heating and cooling. Again, a one off and not something which could be called a technique, more just a rabid hobbyist bashing the bejesus out of a lock with a plastic hammer in frustration. 😂 On a separate note, i also realised after it was posted that i failed to show the springs you sent as a part of that care package, sorry for that and thank you once again mate! Mr L
Thanks Mr L. Yeah, i would use a nylon hammer too but i don't have one mate. I am thinking of using the screw and pry method from now on. I like the idea. Thanks again. I forgot about the springs. lol. No worries:-)
Great Video Paul, unable to locate that easy out here, the one I have is list for 3/16 to 1/4 (M5-M6) I guess I just need the proper drill bit.The "T" handle i assume purchased separately? The top part of the brass plug you drilled, could it be turned over and reused or is it tapered Paul? This was a great video my friend really enjoyed it! I will be doing this once I can get set up a little better mate! thanks again for awesome Tutorial,I know it was for our Friend THREE DOG NIGHT but he's a good guy he won't mind sharing!!
Thanks Fiore. Hold off with the t handle and extractor. With the plug, the hole goes right through and is unusable and you are correct, the plug is slightly tapered. Have a good one my friend:-)
Hey Paul, about those extractors... I was just about to order some the other day but I wasn't sure what size I should get... In the catalog I was looking at, Some of them are sized EX-1 to EX-5 but some say "Removes screws from 2.5 to 4 mm etc.. I was wondering, what size "easy-outs" or spiral extractors do you use most often ? Thanks buddy!
Hey, Paul, you seen that 245 on eBay? Some dickhead took a rasp to the side of it. Not sure if they were trying to hide the plugs or show them but it looks hopeless. I thought a job for you to clean up.
Thanks Gary. Yeah, i had a look. It's a tad pricey for what;s on offer. Although, in saying that i might throw out an offer. Yeah, i saw the gouges. I think they took to it with a circular sanding disc by the looks of the swirl marks. Cheers:-)
That was one of the best videos on lock disassembly! This helps me a tremendous amount!!
Thanks again Jason:-)

The chamber plugs being tapped thru the body (instead of drilling them out) is a great idea. As is your reassembly. Thank you.

Beautiful work that you do I can tell you take pride in it and it does

Great tutorial ... you’re the master with brass my friend! 👍🏻
Thanks John. I wouldn't say master but i get by. lol. Thanks for your support John:-)
very nice demonstration man! thank you
Great video buddy. On My first brass padlock I gutted, I took the pin side to a bench grinder. Crude, but effective.
Thanks mate. Would have loved to have seen that. Cheers:-)
Very cool video, I have learned something here. Great video brother nicely done
Thanks Thumper. Good to see you pumping out the challenge locks. Well done:-)
Very informative👍 Simple and straight forward method, much appreciated bud!
Thanks Jake:-)
Loved this videio Paul. Now I want to tear something apart!!! Ha! 👍👍👍👍🧡
Thanks Cherokee. As long as the tearing apart doesn't involve a human being. lol. Cheers:-)
Excellent video!!!
Excellent tutorial, I've got to try this :)
Thanks mate. Hope it was of help in some way:-)
Great instructional video the first one I did was a total loss of the lock
Thanks AJ. I know the feeling mate. I have lost a few over the time as well. lol. Cheers mate:-)
Awesome tutorial Paul my friend😎👍😎👍✌👉
Thanks Leon:-)
Great tutorial, well explained and demonstrated, thanks for that, cheers
Thanks mate. Going to have to catch up to swap each others bits and pieces and indulge in a caffeine. Cheers:-)
Great demo my friend. Nice to see real non-Chinesium spools. 👍🏻😎
Thanks Donz:-)
Really helpful video Paul, the extractor tool, i take it it’s a 2mm to 4mm extractor. ?
Once again really helpful mate.
It says it's 2mm on the package. The holes are 3mm according to Paul's earlier vids where I was asking the same questions.
Thanks Daz. Yeah, the end is 2mm but it is usable up to 4mm or so. Cheers:-)
that was fun, i have a masterlock 150 with the a pin sticking out just a little bit. i now know how to gut it, if i choose to accept the mission.
Thanks mate. Good luck. You'll be ok. Accept the mission. lol. Cheers:-)
Great video mate! 🇬🇧🥊👍

Thanks Rookie. I use the 2mm-4mm type. The ones i showed on the video. Sutton brand. Thanks mate:-)
i think lockwood pins are 3mm
“Don’t bash the shit out of it” 😂
Don't worry mate. It looked worse than it really was. No damage to the body at all. All linished up and like brand new. Cheers mate:-)
with a lockwood 110/30 i was able to push the retaining pin plug out with a deep hook by accident.
Good video but can you do less lip smacking 😅
probably doesnt even realize hes doing it, it annoyed me as well but this is one of the only videos on this

This is the one www.ebay.com.au/itm/Collectable-Old-Vintage-Brass-Lockwood-Padlock-Lock-with-Restricted-Key/273780056301

@@crankylock7844 A real amateur job. Chris Capune is bidding on it. A bit pricey for my liking too.
