That's the sign of a true craftsmen there, Paul your a genius!!!! I've been racking my brains trying to figure out just how you done those & left them all so clean. WOW!!!!!! Thanks so much Paul, If I had enough hair I'd have been pulling it out by the roots on this one. LOL!!! Think I banged the wall a couple of times as well. Ha Ha. Can't say enough about that Paul, thank you so much again my friend, now I can sleep at nights again. LOL!!!!

@@Mur-lock68 , No doubt my friend, he's good. Now I know how to change pins & really mess with someone. LOL!!!!! They'll think it's only spools inside & then they can't pick it, Love it. Without a sign one left on the lock anywhere.

The chamber plugs being tapped thru the body (instead of drilling them out) is a great idea. As is your reassembly. Thank you.

    Very helpful tutorial Paul.
That punch will see some good use 👍😁
I like your hammer trick too.
If the core is flush, all this time I've been using the key to find the spaces
I will def use the hammer to save a bit of time.
    Thankyou again mate 😁

Another video with useful information for the community mate, well done. :)
I use my nylon hammer for doing that because im always a little heavy handed with a steel hammer, I used to end up with dents which required too much material removed to hide.
For removing the plug i use a steel screw with a tapered point, once screwed in i use a claw hammer to pry it out, placing something like an old key under the hammer to prevent making marks on the lock body when levering. The Ez-Out way is much better, I'm just too cheap to buy one but i definitely will get one in the future.
Sometimes i have been lucky in that the bit will catch on the plug and remove it as I'm drilling but it is inconsistent and random.
I have also tried the heat and cool method but with no success, the only time i can claim semi-success was when I was able to hit the lock body and extract the plugs with kinetic energy after heating and cooling. Again, a one off and not something which could be called a technique, more just a rabid hobbyist bashing the bejesus out of a lock with a plastic hammer in frustration. 😂
On a separate note, i also realised after it was posted that i failed to show the springs you sent as a part of that care package, sorry for that and thank you once again mate!
    Mr L

Thanks Mr L. Yeah, i would use a nylon hammer too but i don't have one mate. I am thinking of using the screw and pry method from now on. I like the idea. Thanks again. I forgot about the springs. lol. No worries:-)

Great Video Paul, unable to locate that easy out here, the one I have is list for 3/16 to 1/4 (M5-M6) I guess I just need the proper drill bit.The "T" handle i assume purchased separately? The top part of the brass plug you drilled, could it be turned over and reused or is it tapered Paul?
This was a great video my friend really enjoyed it! I will be doing this once I can get set up a little better mate! thanks again for awesome Tutorial,I know it was for our Friend THREE DOG NIGHT but he's a good guy he won't mind sharing!!

      @crankylock7844  5 років тому +1

Hey Paul, about those extractors... I was just about to order some the other day but I wasn't sure what size I should get... In the catalog I was looking at, Some of them are sized EX-1 to EX-5 but some say "Removes screws from 2.5 to 4 mm etc.. I was wondering, what size "easy-outs" or spiral extractors do you use most often ? Thanks buddy!
