Tune into our campaign for International Women’s Day 2024 where our employees- from our factory in Charleston to our office in Gothenburg-share a powerful message to young women considering a career in STEM.
We are going through the biggest transformation ever at Volvo Cars, and to succeed, we need extraordinary talent with new competencies, backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
To help increase the talent pool, we partnered with Girls Who Code in early 2023. This is just one of the many ways we're actively working to bridge the gender gap in technology and the automotive sector.

Personal message for the engineering manager lady at 0:35.
I used to be a die-hard Volvo fan all my life.
It used to mean understated luxury with actual luxury I'm the interiors. But i could afford a top of the line volvo model prior to 2016. I am a osteopathic physician and can categorically say volvo DID have the BEST driver and passenger seats in the industry. Post 2016, all your cars including the top of the line cars had seats that are TOO HARD,/ firm and overall WITHOUT ENOUGH THICK PADDING TO STRETCH WHILST REMAINING SEATED. - and costs grew astronomically with your mainstream models - you offered the cheap CMA architecture but those were no longer resembled what volvo of old used to offer- quality luxury.. (2nd row in every CMA model had very compromised low hip points and flat seats without any support- why ? Was that the only solution you could think of to allow for flat loading area?)
Now im a big fan of what GENESIS from HMA (Hyundai) has to offer regardless of reliability.
Я сам очень люблю вольво. Но они пошли не по той дороге что были раньше. Сейчас это маркетологи , а тогда думали инженеры. Автомобиль у меня s80 2008 года , получаю удовольствие от сидений и эргономики автомобиля а так же от его надежности это 3.2 3.0 и 4.4 ! А сейчас делают одни 2.0 и очень дорогие в обслуживании. К сожаление эра инженеров окончена сейчас у них все маркетинг ! Как с айфонами хоть каждый год меняй 11 12 13 14 15 успевай только денег копить. Как бы не закончили как сааб. От полестара уже отказались.

Valvo distributed Polestar shares for free to its shareholders so that they would sell and the share price would fall in order to destroy it because Polestar's shapes are very attractive and the same technology as Valvo, but it will survive and outperform Valvo.
Do women in your company receive the same salary for the same work as men?
If not, your campaign would be completely absurd... like so many similar ones...
I don't think there is any multinational company that pays different just because of gender at the same role .
Well Volvo definitely need more women on the design team. Glove box isnt big enough for the service log, let alone a pair of sunnies, nowhere for a bag or q charge plate (2023 CX40 PEV) And no charge plate. About 10 yrs behind style wise but love the mechanics
(But a bigger battery would have been good)
Is Volvo destined to remain the final bastion of wokeness? It appears probable.
Yawn. Time to retire the tired term "woke" and "wokeness." Those that have created the term don't use it anymore as it is misused and misdefined now.
