I don’t know why people hate her so much, she is a very good voice actor. She really puts in emotion when she talks for the characters. It’s almost like she can feel how they would react.

Im not given they made the alola league a discount league. They basically finally let him win but they did it in a league where the final was a 3v3... lol it felt like such a cheap throw away. He shoulda won kalos, and the way they set up that entire kalos arc it legit felt like they were going to have him win. They gave alan the paul treatment where they kicked ashes ass in ever fight until the league where he would finally overcome them. but nah they backed out on that.
I'm not even mad about Spoilers because of how much I despise Alola.
People really gave her death threats over Pokemon. After this I can't take any "original ash" Fanboys seriously
I'm not surprised. The Pokemon fan base is always been a little bit toxic. Although this whole National dex debacle with the generation 8 games really put the toxicity Center Stage. Junichi Masuda got some death threats over that.
I will admit that I was definitely part of the "Original Ash" bandwagon, but I certainly did not wish death upon the new voice actors for the show; however, I did not accept the new voice actors especially during Battle Frontier, because of what Sarah literally explained on this video: trying to sound exactly like Veronica. It was too obvious Sarah was not able to make that same raspy voice that Veronica made on Ash.
Once they allowed Sarah to be redirected and more chill by voicing Ash a bit her own way, that's when improvement came along. But like I said, I was part of that bandwagon and I didn't watch the show for years. I actually got back to watching the entire series again, starting 2018. I will also admit it is still hard for me to watch movies like "I Choose You" and the remake of "Pokemon: The First Movie" because part of me is still too naive, wishing to hear the old voice actors again.
But I want to say that Sarah has done a fabulous job with Ash over the years. This is my entire opinion.
I loved Pokemon as a child, but honestly as an adult I've noticed that the show honestly isn't good if you're older. I realized as a 12 year old actually.
Whaaat? Death threats? Who takes them seriously. Plus they should be blaming the producers for green lighting. They could have said ... “nonono you are not ash. Next!”
They liked her voice apparently. Blame the company!!

I have a feeling that she doesn't want to do it but is contractually obligated to continue. I have a feeling that even she wants what us fans want Veronica Taylor back to do Ash. She doesn't strike me as the type to do voice acting.
I truly do like Sarah sometime. ^^

The fans were so salty and yet she respectfully acknowledges how big the shoes were to fill in terms of the role of Ketchum.
I think the main issue was when she took over For Battle frontier because during that season, her voice was just a bit too scratchy for my taste, but after that season it got a lot better
She's able to branch out to other roles since the retiring of Ash from the Pokémon anime. Yesterday she was announced for a role in which she gets to speak her native Russian

I'm just surprised they did one of these with one of the current voices of Pokémon. I'm not an expert on how the voice acting goes, but I know the rest of the cast make very rare appearances.

I noticed they changed the voices but I figured it was because they wanted ash to sound older. So I looked into it and basically some contract was over and that changed everything. Sarah is gorgeous and super talented, plus she has a voice I don’t mind listening to.

I always wonder, and maybe you know, what makes producers choose a Female for kids/boys voices. Not that it botters me just wondering
For long going shows, they like to keep the same voice actors. As males mature, so do their vocals which makes the voices of the characters different from when the show started. As females mature, their vocals stay the same. This allows them to keep voicing a character without a change in the actual sound of the vocals.

it's not about that. she was probably stressing out because they wanted her to voice match veronica taylor, and this was her first time doing a dub so she was starting at point zero. and even if the dub lines of ash is already written out, it can still be stressful to fill the shoes of a well established legend for a new person.

Just finished watching season 8 and started season 9 and I had to stop watching it. Voices were so horrible I think that’s the end of the Pokémon series for me I’m fine with that. I’d rather watch the Japanese dub at this point.

@@theofficialliedetector1545 yeah I kept watching but after diamond & pearl and black & white started in season 14 I have to call it quits. They basically rebooted the series in black & white so I'm done the show ends for me during season 13. Ash heads home and Brock goes off to study to become a Pokemon doctor. THe END.

I'm being honest... I'm kind of disappointed! I thought they would at least be an interesting story of how she got all the way up there. And I'm not a Pokemon person So some of this is kind of a letdown for me.
